Then I signed up in like 2001 when I started getting a hang of the internet better. Although I did have the web in like 96 or 97, it was pretty limited to AOL chatrooms... Up until aol 5.0, you could still go back and download aol 95 and aol 3.0 to punt and pint people off the chat rooms.. also if you sent a pws to a newer OH account, you could phish their account pretty easily.
