ill start off first by appologising if this thread is in the wrong place or that there is already one made,im new to this site.

ok so i saw this documentry about quantum mechanics the other day and after watching it about 3 times its really given me an interest into the subject.does any one know any good books for a newb?id really like to read into all this string theory and quantum mechanics stuff.

Anything by Stephen Hawking is good.

-The Universe in a Nutshell.

-A Briefer History of Time.

 

"A Beginner's Guide to Reality." good read, cheesy at points.

 

"The Theory of allmost Everything" -Robert Derter.

 

"The Trouble with Physics."

 

Just dont forget that almost all of this shit is theotrical and ISNT PROVEN.

Quantum Mechanics is not a theory. String theory obviously is.
