It's been on Democracy Now on NPR for about the last month.

along with some other disturbing stories about people on Death Row and the general lack of caring from the main stream news and government about whether they die or not.

Depressing, but not surprising. Louisiana, by all accounts I've heard from my girlfriend who grew up there and her friends and family that I've met, is full of corruption, racism, and elitism. And poverty. I've been to Lafayette, LA, and saw for myself how segregated the city is, there are literally two sides of the town, with blacks on one side and whites on the other. I saw two black people the whole time I was in the city, and apparently there just as many blacks as there are whites.
