And as far as him being "exploited", considering he endorsed and promoted the idea himself, i'd say he was doing it for his own reasons, whether they be for money, a social comedic effect or the oh-so-popular "internet fame". Regardless, he was well aware of what the implications were. Oh, and according to their forums, people laughed WITH him, much like people do with stand-up comedians. Your cynicism is astounding. Not only do you think this death might be fake for some ridiculous fame or monetary gain, but you believed people (i'm sure a small minority did, aka the insecure) laughed at him to boost their own pseudo-self-esteem. *edit: to clarify, I have no idea whether he was putting on an act or not. Nor do I have conclusive proof that he truly is deceased. But I think he had a larger impact on people than you realize and they would have the integrity not to exploit that for a monetary purpose.
