This is  a great book. I had a double of the English version and sitting on doubles of the French version. He was pretty next level in the 80-2000's. I remember see him put up a sketch, hell that could have been the piece itself since it was so clean.

When I was starting out in the mid-eighties and secured a copy of the Subway Art, then a few years later Spraycan Art, T-Kid was the guy whose work stood out to me and inspired me early on in my "career". His work was and is next-level.

never even heard of half priced books. looked it up online, and seems like there's one about an hour from here...day trip sometime i suppose.

Hope it’s a good trip! Used to find books and zines at another chain in the Southwest. Place had a similar vibe but more focused on new music/movies/books. name slipped my mind and it’s been bugging me for a week. Finally popped into my geriatric brain: Hastings. I looked them up and they closed sometime in the last decade. Rip Hastings.

Just finished reading this.

dope book about a writer who really sparked a slight interest in unusual graff for me!

For Catalogue of Unsolved Crimes, graffiti legend MELLIE recollects dozens of ridiculous, reckless, totally illegal and sometimes hard to believe adventures in Europe’s train yards and metro tunnels. From his early days in hometown Utrecht at the dawn of the 1990s, MELLIE’s spray-painted name drove transportation companies to madness for the better part of a decade. The name of his MSN crew explained the modus operandi succinctly: Maniakken Stoppen Nooit (‘maniacs never stop’). Catalogue of Unsolved Crimes, containing many contemporary photographs of MELLIE’s pieces, is an intimate memoir about bombing, racking, court cases, drugs & alcohol, friendships, travelling, toys, beef, police chases, fame, and anything in between and serves up vicarious thrills a mile a minute.

Amazes me how some of these writers have sooooo many panels under their belts.

Next book also came via Hitzerot but was published by Spray city AT

Graffiti Wien

Tracing the origins of Vienna graffiti to 1999.

Not gone through this 100% yet because it's pretty big but it seems pretty good.

What got me into buying the book was some of the photos of the Phase2 and Delta stuff they did.

I don't exactly know my NYC history too well but I wonder if Phase2 and Delta Had more running in Vienna in 1984 than they had in NYC.IMG_0981.thumb.jpg.301c8d0137ce6e509e1b0cde0cb1be0e.jpg

Wiener LOL

then details the first trains etc in Vienna

and then on and on to 1999

Literally just finished reading this. First book in a while I’ve managed to get through in a couple of days. Decent stories about painting and having a load of fun
