^Kind of a funny thing. I'd rate the first Fuzz book as one of the best out there because of the editing and production quality. I couldn't put it down from the minute I opened the cover. Fuzz One - A Bronx Childhood!!! This book, his second is self published and I haven't been able to get into it at all. It's not well put together and just doesn't begin to compare...

Best Book: Fuzz One - A Bronx Childhood. Worst Book: Fuzz One - Last Of The Old School.

got this in the email:

The 2nd book is a sequel to my initial book "A Bronx Childhood".*** The 2nd book is still me in The Bronx and has many wild stories about what happened in those 1970's days.

> I printed this on my own and do not sell them in stores or anything. I have about 70 books left since I printed them years ago.*** Not sure what to do once they run out.***

> I am probably gonna do a reprint of them somehow or maybe a digital book.

> For now, this is the 2nd book in the series and many people in Europe have purchased that and said they liked that better than the 1st book.*** I do get many good reviews.

> The only place to get Last of the old school is from me on my webpage.

> For people who know of me on in some way for being a train writer, now I can tell my stories more being a book writer.*** Plus, on my webpage I also sell new artwork that I am doing. Very affordable prices, not outrageous like some people have.*** I do books and artwork and people really like my work in both areas.***

>

> Also, while you mention me by name, I want you to also know I rep for that subway photo book on my webpage, Making All Stops. The Volume One book is printed and we have had book reviews done and many happy readers.*** That's an all color,1970's NYC subway photo book that I recommend to you and anyone you know.*** I would want that book promoted somehow with anything you do for me. Check that book online at the webpage, that also is not in stores or Amazon.***

>

> We have the subway history to enjoy with written stories and photos with 2 books.

> Just need to get the word out to many people that I am sure would enjoy them.

Does anyone own T-Kid's book and can tell a bit about the pics that it contains? I'm not very much interested in the story, and find the price quite steep. However I am after pictures from T-Kid trains, especially from the 80ies. How many piece flicks does the book contain? Are they of reasonable size? MOST IMPORTANT: How many train pieces from the 80ies are shown, and are there any other ones than those circulating here, at subwayoutlaws.com or other websites, or those published in Cav's book "From the Platform" or in "Subway Art"? Answers would be greatly appreciated!!

Here some of the flicks that can be found on the web. SOme of those are not of a very good quality though, so it might still be cool to get them via T-Kid's book, provided that they were printed with a good quality there.

check the books yourself funnily enough the Tkid book has few photos by Tkid,

Cav's book has few pics taken by Cavs

subway art features some subways from the 80's

Thanks. Well, I have Cav's book and SW Art, but no access to TKid's book just in order to have a peek.

I mean I could order and then return it, but I was hoping to avoid that hassle. The book is not cheap.

Disappointing to read that this book features only few photos of TKid's own pieces, the guy is really my favorite NY trainwriter (together w Mack, Seen, Shame125, Dero and Wane).

I love his style since 1994 when he visited Berlin (where I'm from), where he killed it big time and made Berlin's scene a very proud host.

So how may train pics by him does the book contain, and how many from others (and by whom)? Are pics of reasonable size?

Thanks in advance!

for all the hype not such an awesome book:

don't take my word for it - check it out for yourself and make up your own mind. you might love it and they have some great photos from "back in the days"

Had I been able to see more of it before I bought it I would not have bought it. some good stories but a lot is meh.

I'm sure that is gonna be a pretty solitary opinion oh well.

Honestly the intention of the book was a great intention. The bitterness between the crew made it what it is. It is a good book but for sure could have been better - believe me.

^In my opinion, a great book for those who were there or know about the crew. To each their own...

Oh No doubt for those that were there it's great but considering 99.9% of the audience the book is trying to sell to weren't there and don't know about the crew it is consideration that could have been thought about more.

I can tell the intentions were good. which is such a shame because I had such high hopes for it.

Once again my opinion is pretty solitary I suspect.

respect for them putting it out it is a lot of work.

Steel Wheels 1986 - 1997 covers graffiti on the subway system of New York City during its final years of existence: 1986 - 1989. Followed by the earliest stages of aerosol graffiti on North American freight trains. What sets Steel Wheels apart from many other books on the subject is it is completely unbiased. None of the photos were solicited or acquired. Full of insightful text and brilliant, rare photographs Steel Wheels captures this 11 year span and gives validity to this period as one of the most important periods in the history of graffiti on trains in America. It is between these years that Writing in New York City began to reach outside of its boarders and spread to the world. All photographs were shot, in transit, by the author Cole T. Only. 120 pages.
