AyeBee
I only go to "underground" shows these days, even though I actually prefer mainstream music. I went to one big concert once and I just fuckin couldn't stand the way shit was set up and whatnot

deterrent
CHICAGO: Pitchfork Music Festival Date: July 13-15, 2007 Cost: $15 for Friday, $25 for Saturday or Sunday single day tickets, $35 for a Saturday-Sunday pass, $50 for a three-day pass. What to expect: Two stages of top-notch independent music -- plus the usual festival fare of beers and greasy food. Why to go: There's a third day added this year, and guess what? It's a collaboration with All Tomorrow's Parties, and it features Sonic Youth (performing Daydream Nation in its entirety). Additional info: Some of the performers already announced: Cat Power, Clipse, Iron & Wine, Girl Talk, Of Montreal, Jamie Lidell, Grizzly Bear, Professor Murder, Ken Vandermark's Powerhouse Sound, The New Pornographers, Stephen Malkmus, De La Soul, Battles, The Ponys, Klaxons, Menomena, Deerhunter, Fujiya, Oxford Collapse, Beach House and Dan Deacon. Throughout the week leading up to the festival, the Cultural Center's Randolph Café will dedicate its Lunchbreak concert series to Chicago bands handpicked by the city's leading clubs--Schubas, Metro, Martyrs', Hideout and the Empty Bottle. Drue_Down
Concerts are for teens, hence, I can't stand them. I enjoyed them for what they were back then, but now-a-days I cannot stand crowds; especially crowds of trustafarian teens. I still occasionally make my way to small venues, but everything seems to be more of a hassle than fun. Really the only thing I go out of my way to see live anymore are comedians. Ferris Bueller
I might go the the 10,000 Lakes Festival with a free ticket for helping run a merch table. Only problem is there are a bunch of scene hippies. But some hippie girls and hair pie? May be hard to turn down. I just can't stand hippies. Some1
Fiona Apple sucked i heard. It was when she first started touring my friend who is a musician and his girl were big fans as am I. They went to the show and walked out. They said she sounded like crap spent the whole time yelling at the musicians on stage. His girl thought she was on drugs... Evangelion>Ogre
Yeah, it is Daft Punk..They're playing Lollapalooza in August, I really hope they do a smaller show while they're in town..The last time I saw them live kicked ass, but it was back in like '98 or '99.. I just saw Interpol last Sunday, I'm seeing Manu Chao in a few weeks, maybe the Deftones next week..RATM just announced a show, too, I may go if the tickets aren't too ridiculous.
