morton
where is this recipe for collards? I have been cooking greens on the regular lately, usually collards and kale with bacon, green onion, garlic, s+p, and chicken stock to simmer.

Willie Nelson
Hey Suki I'm off the boat and here's your vegetarian southern style collards recipe you asked for: 1 Tblspn Olive Oil 1 Tblspn Butter 1/2 a large onion chopped clove of chopped garlic 1lb. chopped collards 3 cups vegetable stock salt and pepper 1 tspn red pepper flakes In a large pot heat butter and oil, sautee onions until softened the add garlic and red pepper flake, add collards and cook for about a minute, then add vegetable stock bring to a boil and cover, let simmer for about 45 minutes or until collards are tender, add salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy. I'll also add liquid smoke sometimes with the vegetable stock for more flavor. For you Morton. Those are vegetarian if you want my normal recipe let me know. Glad I can help.
