Chicken ramen with soft boiled egg, spring onions & red chillis. 

From my last menu, seared foie gras, savory bread pudding, roasted apple puree, pickled apple, calvados caramel, crispy chicken skin.

Glad to see a familiar handle. I remember protester from times past. This thread was crackin for quite a while with a bunch of like minded food nerds! It was pretty epic, sharing recipes and what not.

been doing a TON of baking lately. haven't really had time to make meals per se. here's a couple of my favorite cupcakes my wife and i done lately.

 

whiskey apple bacon cupcake

whiskey apple cake, apple bacon compote filling, apple cinnamon spiced frosting

did have time to slow cook some motherfuckin' pork belly though

Yo Red, my girl moves back in a month and we have a pick her up at RDU/come eat at your spot/drive back to the Triad and smash date planned. Hope things are going good over there. Gonna request seats at the bar this time.

SO its been a minute since Ive posted. Probably have tons but this is what I got from my ipod so far...nothing special..

 

SO the neighbor dropped off some fresh peaches from their trees and might I say they were FANTASTIC! I had some tequila in the freezer cause I was tryn the whole lime/tequila/beer mixture..not bad. Being the boozer I am I decided to cut up three peaches and soak them in the tequila....

Peach Tequila and Sprite...pretty tasty.

Took the infused pulp and two other peaches to get a lil puree to make a pate.

cubed and half dredged in granulated and the other powdered.

I guess its always good to have a huge ball of danish blue cheese vacuum sealed in your freezer for everyday use. Got all free from work SCORE!

Kitchen remodel has left me without a stove so Ive been stuck with skillet cooking...not bad though, quick heat yet its not distributed well.

Not too pretty to look at but man did it taste good. Like a Mexican stir fry. Chicken, onion and mushrooms with a pan-roasted tomatillo salsa with pumpkin seeds and chipotle. Garnished with cilantro, green onion and lime juice.

I got some grouper from work and had some peaches left over in the freezer. So yeah grouper and some peach sauce over top. Used some mango butter in there as well. Should of reduced it a bit. Oh well

Blue chz sweet mash. Asparagus. Pork topped with a fresh nectarine salsa and a side of a tangy spicy plum reduc. Wish I could plate better. everything but the sweet mash worked really well together flavor wise.

Oh yeah and gotta love the large glass of wine ahah

Nice! thanks. Its just cheap pork, all I could find, and really I couldnt make up my mind on a protein choice.

 

Still stuck cooking with devices that require this....

Had to do a whole double boiler set just for cheese the other day...hating every minute without a stove...asparagus was in a toaster oven. Cant always hate because its not always bad.

It looks to be some what consistent. I get you though. I used to hate it when I was younger and when spaghetti was made with the sauce being not enough. I remember I used to lift the lid to see if I saw too much pasta color. Needs another can of sauce mah!!!
