I missed out when visiting Raleigh NC when it came to cup cakes. Supposedly theres a dope cupcake spot there....guess Ill find out next time.

 

Im diggn the idea of some Pea mash, never really thought of it I guess, I dig some hummus and black bean, white bean, whatever bean type mashes. So pea mash is next on my list...next to that Alfredo.

I like how everyone has been posting up the brews with the food.

 

So I bit off of publicenemyno.3 and tried a version of yellow pepper basil alfredo, although my peppers were not roasted and I used a grip of basil....freaking love basil. Plus I dont have a good food processor so it made it a lil lumpy but tasty none the less. I didnt have time to make my own raviolli but I found these asiago, basil, pine nut ones that werent half bad. Did a lil sautee of yellow squash, red onion, shitake mushroom, and tomato.

tomato and basil salad. the basil is from our garden. fyi, the smaller leaves are more flavorful, i just learned that.

linguine with basil and arugula pesto topped with sauteed morel and crimini mushrooms. i usually make the pasta myself, but i've been so overwhelmed lately i haven't had time to cook properly. they were out of pine nuts, so i used pistachios in the pesto. it's just as tasty and much cheaper.
