publicenemyno.3
Mini polenta pizzas. We bitched out and bought pre-made polenta, but they were good as fuck. There were a shitload of different ingredients but the one with caramelized onions, roasted orange pepper, mortadella and garlic parsley mozzarella was the best. Oh, and I used homemade cashew basil/arugula pesto for the sauce.
SwampFightOner
I haven't had polenta in so long, but we used to tear through plates of that shit when I was a kid, just topped with red sauce. Your polenta is quite fancy, props
IOU
coffee??? Yeah, you'd be surprised. I think I used 4oz of coffee to 16oz of chicken broth. You don't want it strong, but you do want to notice it.

I actually haven't been cooking that much lately for whatever reasons, but when I do I'm trying to keep it simple. Still can't improve for shit though, but I'm sure that will come with time. tucksoe
you make that truffle pasta..art?
itsallafarce
yeah...i was kinda bummed on it. the truffles i used were jarred (weak i know but i cant afford fresh truffles) and didn't add any flavor to the pasta i had to finish it with truffle oil to get the flavor i was looking for. redeyedanimal
with a well made truffle oil, that should be all the truffle flavor you need. That tenderloin looks awesome. Still a little pink in the middle, not overdressed, herbs still green on the outside. Nice work.
itsallafarce
thanks. yeah but initially i didn't want to have to use truffle oil to get the truffle taste that should have come from the pasta. oh well it was still really good.

theprotester
Backstrap is definitely underrated, shamefully I only really discovered it a year or so ago - now I'm always torn between that and a steak. Tough choices.

CLICKCLACKONER
Wonk saggin. CT- Yo never been to p. Lugers. What good to order there? I remember u posted some brolic bacon. That shit any good?
Crocodile Tears
the 2 man steak is good for one person, if you just wanna meat-up. pause. but the steak for one on the bone, personally i think hits the spot, but you must order the tomatoes and onions creamed spinach and two strips of beacon, plus the onion rolls for a complete meal. the bacon there is like 5oz strips heavy, its no joke, like a meal in itself. also as much as i like a cold beer, with their steak i get the little 8oz coke bottles. dont sleep on homestead either. luger lives heavily off their name, but homestead is fivestars and just as good.
