do i want to eat the pudding out of my new shoes, or not?

Recommended Posts

i just got these...

3832-325280-p.jpg

they're rad, but they have these giant fat tongues that i hate. i dont skate, so i dont need the padding, and i dont like looking like i'm wearing dinner rolls on my feet two strikes you're out.

i'm considering slicing the seam open and pulling out some padding, but im being a wuss about it.

anyone done this?

i am also anti the tongue thing. my friend likes simple shoes and has those also. i haven't bought skate "brand" shoes in maybe like 5 years or so.

I bought my Etnies cause they where out of the Adios I wanted, and they where the only all black pair of shoes.

They really need to make more skate shoes that are one color.

plain and simple skate shoes have been back in vogue for a while now, as are vulcanised soles and not so puffy tongues. you need to stop shopping at the mall and go to a real skateshop

It's all about finding that delicate balance between 'poofy' and 'narrow'.

I hate lookind down at pointy shoes, or shoes that are so thin that they have to be laced so the adjacent eye-holes touch.

AM90's are basiaclly the perfect shoe.

I do go to a skate shop, but I live in miami

they are more interested in selling SB dunks in fifteen million colors to scensters

Plus I am thirty, don't skate anymore, and really don't care what brand of shoes I wear as long a I like them.

Re: do i want to cut the padding out of my new shoes, or not?

if you want something simple that's skate-style, but don't want anything super puffy and gawdy just get vans, puma clydes, adidas superstars (no metal lace loops, just to be clear) or stan smiths. they're what skate shoes were based off in the first place.
