Theo Huxtable.
i'm not talking about which countries speak spanish/english. yes there are more spanish speaking countries than english-speaking. i'm talking about what language is more widely spoken on a global scale. in china, germany, netherlands, japan, thailand, etc... the international airports always have english as the secondary langauge beneath the native language. MAR
I thought french was the most widely spoken language, offically. It definetly beats spanish. Regardless of whether or not the country recognises a prominant tourist base, the average person walking around in europe or asia will not know much, if any, english. Theo Huxtable.
english became the most widespread language for mainly two reasons: the remnants left over from the british empire of the 19th century and early 20th century (which had conquered 1/4 of the world's land mass), and america's current cultural and economic dominance around the globe since WWII

Blood Feast Island Man
european tourists walk around with large camping backpacks and wear sandals with cargo shorts and form-fitting neon-colored t-shirts. they either have mopheads or spiky hair buzz-shaved at the sides true dat.
