"fob" was created by asians. plus, when blacks use "nigga," they don't put an "er" at the end and it's not used as a racial slur, but more like "dude" or "man." the word has more than one meaning depending on the context in which you use it. you're right it's not a big deal but i just wanted to let you know it wasn't a racial slur since you said the word is "new" to you.
