diaz did too much taunting and not enough fighting (although it was very entertaining)

condit landed more for sure, i think the only time he ran away is when diaz was backing him in to a "corner" but thats what he needed to do, or he would have gotten pumbled, and lost the fight. it's good to see someone go through with their gameplan, and listen to their coaches

diaz vs gsp would have been a better fight IMO, just because of the shit talking diaz brings during fights. it would have brought some entertainment to the bore fest gsp fights

i wish diaz wasnt such a sore loser, cuz i love to watch the dude fight.

oh well..

theres a difference between running away and moving, i.e. Edgar. Edgar isn't running he's moving around to not get hit, Condit was doin' the 50 yard dash everytime he got pressed. I know it aint a street fight but just imagine that type of behavior in a real fight, thats why Diaz is tight, that dude is from the hood. You can;t tell a guy like that, that all you gotta do is avoid him for 5 rounds and occassionally throw some leg kicks, and you'll win.

i'll rewatch the fight when it comes out, but i'm pretty sure condit landed strikes quite often, and i think he kicked diaz in the face twice

and you cant tell diaz what to do because he's a cocky douche, not because he's from the hood, haha

the sad thing is by the time he gets in shape he'll prolly have used up all of his iron chin ala' chuck.

roy's pretty old and hes taken alotta shots.

i had condit by a hair in that fight, but i did think it was wack. especially to talk all that im trying to kill you, refs gonna have to save your life shit and then pointfight and run. you won. but it was some greg jackson gameplan shit, not natural born killer shit.fucking boring. people keep that up and mma will be boxing soon enough.

gsp will murder condit provided he's healthy.

I thought it was a great fight, that's what you call "smart" fighting and sticking to your game plan 100% - Everybody is talking smack on how he "ran" from Diaz, if Diaz truly wanted to get him than he could've, i mean the fuckin guy does triathlons as a hobby outside of training for a fight. there's absolutely no excuse why he didn't "run" after him instead of walking towards him with his hands down talking shit, he's got all the skills and endurance to back up his "ghetto" mouth. He got played fare and square...

im not arguing that it wasnt diaz's fault he lost. i noticed midway through the second that condit wasnt going to stand still. rogan and goldberg were still hyping diaz almost through the third. you can literally hear them realize that he's not running away with it like they've been saying he has if you watch it again.

i think it was a combination of pride in his "boxing" and his corner telling him he was winning. he wasnt ever hurt and to him walking forward is winning. obviously he could have taken condit down easily and subbed him. it took no effort to do it at the end of round 5. condit had the better gameplan and i think its too embarrassing for diaz to admit that all you have to do to beat him is circle off the cage.

although condit's circle off the cage is less fluid than say a cruz or an edgar. he got his points and then turned a shoulder and ran, which just looks bad. he could have landed one of those knees or spinning elbows and ko'd him and we'd all be singing a different tune. whatever. he won the "game."

unfortunately we were promised a fight. facking greg jackson is ruining this shit.

rogan said on his podcast that dana said a rematch is possible before gsp is available to fight.

condits camp said no, but if offered enough money, that could change

Not for nothing though, Diaz "as a fighter" deserves to hold a title, but as far as his personality - being the champ/roll model that's not for him... It would def be a more exciting fight than Condint would put out.

Cesar Gracie Says Condit vs. Diaz 2 Off Before It’s On: ‘There is Not Going to be a Rematch’

Just as quickly as the saga twisted from no rematch between Carlos Condit and Nick Diaz to the rematch being agreed to, the plot thickens and the rematch is once again off the table.

and on top of that...

Nick Diaz‘s rematch with Carlos Condit has gone up in smoke. Literally.

The former Strikeforce welterweight champion has tested positive for marijuana following his UFC 143 loss to Carlos Condit, and will be subject to a suspension and fine from the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

In his home state of California, Diaz is licensed for medicinal marijuana use, but it does not excuse him from testing by state athletic commissions when it comes to MMA.
