Posted February 18, 200718 yr What do people typically use to scribe with? What works best? And what about the ethics of it? Is it ever not cool to scribe someones mirror/window/etc?
February 18, 200718 yr rooookie thread. the only placce i ever scribe is on the bus, bus shelters, and like payphones. never really on store windows ecspecially not independently owned places. that should go without saying. as for tools, rocks are small, plentiful, and free. they get deeper then sandpaper but with a folded square of sandpaper the strokes will be realy wide.
February 18, 200718 yr Chainsaw blade sharpeners for the dremel tools work really well. Or diamond tipped drill bits. But the only bad thing about the diamond tipped bits is, the tip looses its quality quick.
February 19, 200718 yr How bout a knife hmmmmm? yeah, knives are cool. i'll scribe up your face real quick.
February 19, 200718 yr yeah, knives are cool. i'll scribe up your face real quick. SWEET, can I be first? But on a serious note, just get an engraving pen. Or an etching pen. Either of which would get the job done. I've seen a lot of people just make etch markers/mops though.
February 19, 200718 yr Word. Etching pens rock my world. But not etching. That shit is crazy stupid. Scribe on personal property, "pyt," and I will personally come and scribe your shit back. That ain't cool. Busses, stops, and payphones. Anything else, I hope someone breaks your face.
February 19, 200718 yr i use diamond engagement rings. scribe where ever you want. what are the chances of getting caught and getting your skull bashed in with a hammer anyways?
February 20, 200718 yr there are many a way to scribe some shit, i used to pack one of those red lava rocks with me everywhere, 'cuz it was quiet, reliable, and easy to come by. but i've since upgraded to a drill bit kinda thing, 'cuz i love them deep etches, just make sure it's not all screechy. that'll definetly blow your cover if you're trying to pull a quick one......what's with the shit talking on scribes? yeah, it's probably not cool to etch the front window of your local independant business, but there's a lot to be said for a discreetly placed one, whether it's on glass, metal, plastic, or whatever. it's permanent, raw, got it's own style, and you can have fun doing it on the sly, without it being as obvious. "markers and paint, yeah they all the way live, but when they get removed only a scribe will survive..." -JU-ICE. anyhow there's a couple of my cents....
February 20, 200718 yr yeah, knives are cool. i'll scribe up your face real quick. Shit you sound real hard kid. Hah I'd like see how quick your punk ass bitches up when you ain't hiding behind a monitor.
