Theo Huxtable.
um, i am pretty sure i would know, ive been to there. anywhere outside the main cities and resorts in the UAE, Kuwait, etc.. is shit. Lots and Lots of poverty. Not everyone is royalty/oil rich. You guys are so naive and arrogant. Here's some pictures of Doha I took when I was there in June. Beautiful city, but the rest of Al Qatar is horrible. someones mansion yes i figured dubai had a large segment of poverty. but i wouldn't call it a 3rd world country. i've never been there but i have been in that area (bahrain). i mean the US has lots of poverty but i wouldn't consider the US a shitty 3rd world country. jmo

japillahan
i know nicaragua is way worse, but the tite is cool shitty countries you can still volunteer in costa rica, and it's way cool costa rica might be a cool country if you like paying out your ass. you can volunteer pretty much anywhere in the world. costa rica does not NEED your volunteers. everything you can find in costa rica (that isnt an import) you can find in nicaragua, it's just more expensive and gringo oriented. besides, Nicaragua, despite its reputation, is the safest country (for traveling and touristifying) in central america. in the end, it all depends on how adverturesome (and finantially flexible) you are. besides, who knows how much longer our fearless leader will be as (kind of) cool as he has been so far
