Was too fucking sick. Just got home and jumped on here after picking up a pizza (herbalicious munchies) and onto my 2nd beer since my return (never mind I haven't stopped since 4PM!!) They played the whole DSOTM, but they played pretty much every other song I wanted to hear like 'Set the controls for the Heart of the Sun' and 'Have a Cigar'. The ending of Comfortably Numb was ruined by a mixing error when the lead guitar swapped to another guitarist (but who's volume level wasn't raised) but was still sick as anything. I called it amazing, but that's not to say that i don't think their earlier works are not as good, in fact I think much of their earlier work surpasses what they were doing on the wall. Honestly, I only like a few songs off Piper at the gates of dawn (Interstellar Overdrive, Astronomy Domine). I would prefer to listen to A Saucerful of Secrets opposed to the aforementioned. Back to the wall; I like the themes of isolation, conformity, and withdrawal that are constant in the wall. I guess much of my appreciation of it stems from how when I was a teenager I could relate to much of what was going on in it, in my own odd way.
