seriously though, what the fuck is up with the assraping of a background check i have to have to get a job in this country? holy crapping crap. here's what they want from me:

my work/life history for the last 10 years. like a month by fucking month re-cap.

a copy of my high school diploma. i finished high school more than 10 years ago for crying out loud. is it really necessary?

my addresses for the last 10 years. again, month by month re-cap.

a cup of urine.

it's enough to quit job hunting altogether and just slang yay on the block with hesh and seeks for the rest of my days

I'd imagine it's harsher because you're not of this country. Whenever they ask me for that shit I give them like a fairly detailed last couple of years and then fuck off for the rest of it. The reason they are asking for so much is just in case your last address isn't on file.

They've never asked me for a diploma they just asked if I graduated. Again I bet it's worse since you aren't American.

You said you were working for a temp agency if I remember. I've worked for a good dozen or so and never been asked for all that.

I worked for like 6 at once at one time. Just for 2 and 3 day jobs to help pay for skate supplies, it was sweet.

the job is with fedex. i hope it comes through cos they get a thorough discount on apple and a bunch of other companies

Yes, I've gotten plenty of free and discounted stuff from this company... Almost worth staying with it, plus the benefits are good. And if you work for FedEx Express, the cost of flying is pretty much non-existant.

you should make up a job situation that makes u sound fairly responsible and can fit into a fairly nomadic lifestyle. maybe you can say you were a freelance journalist that had to travel to get stories about X subject, and that you sold your stuff to many different publications, making it hard for them to verify...i donno...a thought

Isn't that the job that Tom Hanks was doing on that movie 'Castaway?'

I don't want to end up on a deserted island thanks.

It quite possibly was the job... But you can be a delivery driver and still get the connect on flying Southwest and numerous other airlines.
