It's obvious that the main concept in this douchetards work is an attempt at fame through scandal - ie beef with "real graffiti", get noticed, then capitalize. If he succeeds I guess more power to him in that we're a capitalist society, if he manages to get paid off this garbage then he achieved the primary goal of that paradigm. It's stupid that he mentions artistic integrity in his statements, though. (the "graffiti is going nowhere remark). "Street Art" in it's modern form is one of the most stagnant and pervasively non-original art trends around. Uniform black linework a la Adobe Illustrator? check. Little white border on gay wheatpaste? check. Dumb cutesy face that means nothing? check! Lots of bubbles, mounds and holes for lack of any substance (thematic or formal) whatsoever? Check! Hooray for street art! Hooray for Buffmonster! Really, the stuff he's painting isn't anti-graffiti, it's anti-interesting. Not even an attempt to bring any novelty or excellence into the picture. Guess it's redundant to go on about how this guy sucks. There's not even room for debate, which is sad. Street art is not an inherintly stupid medium, but a lot of street art just sucks.
