Abracadabra Posted January 6, 2007 Author Share Posted January 6, 2007 well, a friend sent me osx10.3 (dmg file) or whatever so i can upgrade this thing, so i mount it or whatever it is, then burn mounted files to a dvd. the dvd won't install when i re-boot. if i try just double clicking the installation file, it gives me an error along the lines of "you can only do that with the proper apple installtion disk" and won't go any further. yet if i do the same thing with the original file on the desktop, it seems to start ok (but obviously can't finish the job, cos it's not on dvd). help Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
