asdjk1
Re: fucking christians, listen to me im a christian. i grew up catholic but couldnt understand the things people feel that they have to put themselve through to get into heaven. like giving this amount of money and going to church on all the holidays that remind you of it ive never forced anyone to believe what i believe. i dont hate anyone. all i can say is that ever since i started asking more questions about myself and what im doing. i realized that i cant possibly be responsible for why i have it so good. that doesnt mean im not control of what i do. i have a feeling that alot of people dont ask themselve deep questions on purpose. Gunm
Re: fucking christians, listen to me I'm not religious. I live my life according to how I feel it should be lived. If something feels good, i go with it. if not, i abstain. But it is a sense of comfort to have SOME sort of faith in a higher power and that something is beyond this lifetime. I really can't fathom why people say "fuck the bible" and "fuck God, he doesn't exist." That sounds like some real confusion. As someone else said those individuals are just scared shitless to ask themselves some deep questions. Where does that kind of thinking come from? Are you totally against the idea of something that exists which is greater than the sum of everything we know and experience on a daily basis? "christian people hate people....fact" Right, so what would you say then about a Muslim extremist that straps a plastic explosive vest to himself and detonates it in the middle of a crowded bus then huh? oh yeah dude, that's some real love right there. no hate there. AllTheWrongWords
Re: fucking christians, listen to me Although no one honestly cares for what one person has to say about this fact, especially it being on the interweb. Ill waste my time, post my thoughts, get quoted, ripped apart and still be hated cuz I center color my words. Im gonna be honest and tell all of you that Im studying to become a Jehovah's Witness. Im gonna make a thread later this year to explain what and why Im making the decision to become a witness. One thing Id like to point out that someone stated earlier "Jehovah" is gods first name and not a title. The people are witnesses OF Jehovah. Just so you wont sound completely ignorant. The 'gods first name' thing I said is completely true. God has a first name every so called chrisitian should know it but most dont and never will. You can research that all you want, though you wont, and youll find its definitively true. I hope none of you see me as THE perfect representation of witnesses. I say and do alot of things Im honestly not supposed to. It actually eats at me sometimes. When Im baptized Im actually going to give up graffito, being on 12oz, etc. Someone mentioned earlier that they would read the bible if it wasnt so "thou" and "thyne". The Jehovah's Witnesses bible (yea another interpretation I know) is based on simple plain english and the very root of every single word and its root translation including pronounciation. But its still basic words just like these. If you ever in your life find yourself earnestly contemplating bible based christian religions I highly reccomend reading "new world translations of the holy scriptures" for the best simple text reading. Jehovahs Witnesses will never ever charge you for any sort of literature or even a bible and no collection plate will ever be passed around at their meetings Gunm is on point. The near-best being that: its a sense of comfort to have SOME sort of faith in a higher power and that something is beyond this lifetime This is honesty to himself and the most respectful thing said. Neither pushy nor conceited. Its the simplest idea to say "fuck ____". Theres no notion behind it or knowledge, only an assumption with no grounds. Basically you want to run with no legs. (No bionic legs dont count). If in the end Im wrong for seeking to be a witness, then Ive come the closest to know the absolute truth. Ive got a lot more to say but words fall upon deaf ears. Hate me homie.. I apologize if this seems like a plea or ShamelessSelfPromotion, it wasnt meant to be. Im telling you in all honesty and for the sake of you gaining some kind of knowledge whether you run with it or not.

I dunno how to explain it without sounding like a complete tool but its more of a dumb metaphor thing for myself than the actual physical act. I can clearly see your point though. Im just totally against the idea of someone telling me that a document that has been altered time after time after time is the absolute truth and that I will find all the answers to any questions I seek in there. I have read The Bible. As far as scared to ask deep questions I feel like "The Bible" doen't let you ask anything deeper than it's pages, and try going to church and asking questions that "question" the bible and it's teaching and more often than not you will be met with disdain and bullshit. I was raised Catholic, was confirmed Lutheran, and spent a ton of time (years kids....I'm 33) trying to "figure it all out". I'm not opposed to there being some sort of force somewhere, I just have a hard time trying to believe that the absolute truth to live by is some bullshit story that has undergone so many changes it resembles Michael Jacksons plastic surgery progression. I'm not just oh fuck this and fuck that.

AllTheWrongWords
Re: fucking christians, listen to me *Meant for KOH What do you mean by distain and bullshit? I see what youre saying about everything else. Have you literally read every page and meditated on each of its individual metaphors and proper word translation? Not trying to be a dick, this is an honest question. I was raised catholic and have been constantly handed that "have faith ye son and all shall be confirmed". Questions arent supposed to be answered with a repetitive phrase. Every real answer given should be worked at and proved.
King Of Hell
Re: fucking christians, listen to me Oh, and by the way, every religion I have looked into shows it's stripes sooner or later. Fuck all of that noise. Find your own path, and don't think for one minute that just because you(not pointing at anyone in particular here) have found nirvana, that the rest of us will too if we just do what you do. They say misery loves company, well I think enlightenment needs company. Me? I just want to be left alone.
Hayabusa
Re: fucking christians, listen to me stephen colbert had a guest on one night who basically put it all into perspective for me basically he said sin is what makes life interesting, and heaven is devoid of all that novelty. But he said it in a good way. I hope someone on here remembers it was the hindu dude who was saying how the world exists as a reflection of the person''s own idea or some shit

(Exodus 21:23-25) versus "...ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on the right cheek, turn to him the other also." (Matthew 5:39) and I was kicked out of a youth group when I was thinking out loud that if there was a war in Heaven how could it possibly be the embodyment of bliss? Asking that if God created us all in his image wouldn't that mean that God is gay, depressed, straight, happy, confused, all knowing, stupid, smart, tall, pretty, ugly, short and all the rest? Yes I know that while out witnessing 90-95 percent of the people dont want it but when someone does accept it and is willing, its worth it. You have every right to do what you did and ask what you asked. If it wouldve been in a JW kingdom hall (not called a church) you wouldve been given an answer with grounds and not the run-a-round. King Of Hell
Re: fucking christians, listen to me 90 95 percent don't want it, but the rest are just desperate enough to take anything, so you might as well get to them before the Hare Krsnas right? Every belief system preys on the desperate. That pisses me off. Im not trying to attack you personaly dude, but I seriously have a problem with whitnessing no matter what religion. AllTheWrongWords
Re: fucking christians, listen to me ^^Completely understandable. Door to door isnt the only way of witnessing thats done. It can be done in an everyday conversation between friends and family and not in a this is my religion this is what I believe kinda way. Theres a lot more to it than the average person knows.
