Theo Huxtable.
good question... i thought about that myself. i was thinking Craig David was american until i heard him talk in interviews. what about back in the day (30's-50's) when american actors spoke with that mid-atlantic accent (sounds british)

Abracadabra
depends who you're listening to. some fake an accent, some don't.

Getzup
good question... i thought about that myself. i was thinking Craig David was american until i heard him talk in interviews. what about back in the day (30's-50's) when american actors spoke with that mid-atlantic accent (sounds british) Thats because they wanted to be sophisticated...They should've really spoken in Gullah,or hebonics By the way I might be mistaken about the sophisticated part..bcause I'm thinking mid-atlantic is something else...so let me know. Theo Huxtable.
that, and i think it's related to the fact that most american actors studied shakespeare and a lot of physical acting styles in that period was based on that shakespearean style... so i guess the voice naturally came with it. Frate_Raper
well, after much debate and research I've come up with this....it stems from they're haggard teeth The sound they make while they talk isn't really they're voice persay, its almost a constaint S.O.S from their teeth echoing from the back of their throat. While they sing the mouth is fully opened almost enough for the teeth to escape!!!! Thus the teeth using they're engery to make a break for it, its why the brits make a horse face while singing or yelling, so the S.O.S is no longer there. Theo Huxtable.
yeah they do. there's this british woman that works out my gym, and she talks all the time and goes out of her way to let others hear her. i think she wants people to be wowed and intrigued by her accent. because she's always talking about the fact she's british. when brits come to america they want everyone to know it. but on the flipside, i was at london-heathrow airport and there was an american guy talking loudly and wanted everyone to hear him. and went out of his way to talk to people he didn't know. i tend to not open my mouth in europe if i can avoid it. lots of prejudice people there who don't like us and judge people by their accent. CALIgula
i met this british guy at school....he had an accent, but what was weird was that girls were throwing mad pussy at that cat because of his accent... anyways he moved back home....im sure he tells everyone how easy american women are.. funny thing is...when he first moved to sacramento he dressed all prep and shit....after a few months of kicking it with the black and samoan people he was all fubu and pelle pelled out.
