Abracadabra
the soup does use chicken broth half an onion chopped clove of garlic smooshed 1 carrot chopped 2 sticks of celery chopped half a cup of peas half a cup of green beans 2 large-ish potatos chopped 2 cups chicken broth (or equivilent of vegetarian wussy stuff) 3 cups water s & p 1/8 cup parsley chopped 1/4 cup chopped green onions tbs butter tbs olive oil in a big pot sautee the onions, garlic and carrots for a couple minutes, then throw in everything else except the parsley. lightly boil for about 15 minutes. throw in the parsley, green onion (and other herbs if you want) just before the potatos are done. cook for another couple minutes and you're pretty much done

lord_casek
casek--why no chix broth? i'm allergic to foul. i don't think it's the meat (i coudl possibly eat free range), i think it has more to do with the steroids to make those glik0 chickens. the man the myth the GOON
ah. well from a chef's standpoint... use like 1 part beef stock 1 part veg stock for a more comparable flavor to pure chix stock.
seven.13
That soup looks great. Tonight I made garlic roast lamb, turmeric mashed potatoes, and spinach. I was hoping my roomie would have some Coopers left over from last night, but sadly no dice.
