TheGreatGatsby Posted December 4, 2006 Share Posted December 4, 2006 dont paint from photos. dont use blac from a tube of paint. paint on a tinted ground. if you are going to paint flesh from a photo and try to pull it off without it all turning the same value use glazes. if your going to use a photo turn off the flash and get a light source. do something with the top lef corner to draw your eye bac towards the rest of the painting because having the arm and pillow run off the canvas is shite composition. aaaaa...freshman painting.... full of compliments Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
TheGreatGatsby Posted December 4, 2006 Share Posted December 4, 2006 o ya another great thing about painting from a photo, it warps shit, the arm is tiny in comparison to the head. if you reallt want to give painting a shot dont waste your time with photos and that nonesense. and dont listen to the retards saying paint the edges of the painting, if i see a painting that needs that much wor and has painted edges id laugh my ass off.
