metronome Posted October 27, 2006 Share Posted October 27, 2006 actually i did some research and it is not true that you get the flu the first time you take the shot. but who knows. t minus 2 hours - and i think i'm going to pass on getting it this time.. a flu shot is a mild dose of the strain, to allow your body to build antibodies to it... so yes, they are injecting you with the flu. do some more research. It's pretty lame. I live on a horse ranch too, so it's double lame. Luckily we're moving out of my allergy season, which is spring and summer, and into my psoriasis season, which is winter. Luckily I only get it on my scalp and not too bad. American Crew dandruff shampoo here I come. (Dandruff shampoo helps psoriasis on the body too, for anyone that has it.)
