Just cop it sweet man, that or stage a robbery and have the laptop stolen infront of workmates.. hahahah Yo an in an article I read recently about computer forensics, it sais something along the lines of; The best publicly available data retrieval programs can retreive data even after being deleted and over writen 8 times. Police (Australian Federal Police) can retrieve data indefinatly, as there will always be some degree of imprint. So for any of you boys and girls that are even half as naughty as you claim to be, the simplest security measure you could take is have an external HD and save anything that you are worried about people finding directly to that. That way you can remove it quickly and easily, and as far as my limited knoledge goes, all you then have to worry about are temp files. Mainter, Casek etc.. Correct me if Im wrong. Digerati Ingresser Posted October 25, 2006 Share Posted October 25, 2006 if all you got is basic cookies (or internet tracking information) on the computer then just download a program called ccleaner get it from ccleaner.comand run the shit (in the options there is a option to do a secure delete (a d0d wipe or Gutnam or custom (this will wipe the harddrive with random 0s and 1s it will be gone (yer company is only doing a quick overview with a little utility to see where you been it will find recently deleted files but if you use the program above with the options i explained they will not be able to track them the only true way to delete the files is opening it up breaking the platters into alot of pieces and melting them with other metal into one big ass clump Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

So i did, but they said to me "we have found some illegal images and videos on your computer so please come back tomorrow" so i walked out. i come into work this morning to pick it up..i go "hey is my laptop done yet" and they said "yeah. here it is. you are really tricky arnt ya" and i said "ah yeah" and walked away one of my computer nerd frriends from outside of school told me to delete everything and do a disk cleanup and to defrag 4 times. then he told me to get your whole work folder (mine is like 2gb) and copy and paste it voer and over again till your hardrive is full. It took me 6 hours for some fucked up reason. after i did that i done disk cleanup and defraged it 4 times again. sooo..looks like this works and yes i still have my job and no i am not using my work laptop to view this thread.
