I said it woulda helped to have read the book on the previous end of his trip. he wasnt amused, but i was, then o took me 36 hours to make 4 1/2 hours away. transparent
thats exactly what i meant....since there are 8000 (prolly even more next year) its tough for a pro to go out and just run through the field with 7000 guys theyve never seen before... Blood Feast Island Man
I can't beleive so many of you waste money on net gambling. I don't care if you made $50 online, you play long enough you will lose. I watched it happen to people every workday for over a year. Schnitzel
Gambling sucks! I worked in a pub is sydney which had 30 poker machines (like the one arm bandits in vegas). these 30 machines took over $250,000 a week minimum after all the payouts that gamblers received. at times it is closer to 300,000! serious amounts of Car,credit cards, rent payments down the drain. Weapon X
2 years aint a career. see if your in profit after 10. The friend I previously mentioned cashed out (after much encouragement) $10,000 of his $15,000 earnings. All it takes is smart play and willingness to prove that you're a real player by cashing out and starting all over again. And good friends who know what is best for you, I guess. *granted, it ain't after two years, but still, house doesn't always win. Just most of the time. Yeah, but that's exactly why Blood Feast doesn't know what he's talking about: Unless you're fucking with carnival games, you don't play the 'house' in poker. Edit: My bad. He was talking about online play. Even still, there is no playing the house in poker. When I'm at the casino I'll hear people mentioning 'house odds' and I can't help but laugh. bahleediddy
"The Biggest Game in Town" by A. Alvarez. Nice behind the scenes look of an early 80's Binion Championship. The player Jim McManus teaches lit and writing at my school. He has an interesting story about when he played. I catch him on TV every once and a while. He teaches a poker class there too.
