They break mad easy. really? i've had a couple in my time. they've always been near bulletproof in my experience. one watch i had lasted me over ten years. the watch it's self still works. just the bit that holds the strap's fucked
crime stoppers
if i had crazy long paper: if you had money you would buy a tacky ass g-shock? you must be black, only a black man would think that a 50,000 dollar plus gshock is nicer than a 50,000 dollar Cartier or Rolex watch. no style what-so-ever, faggot. penmanship
My girl just got me this. fucking awesome especially for working night crew outside on a mountain. no tiny indiglo bullshit. Haven't worn a watch in ten pus years, got tired of digging through my snow pants to my shorts for my cell phone just to check the time. Pfffffffffft
how in the hell do you tell what time it is?
penmanship
the button on the side makes the bars light up. hour then ten minutes then single minutes. it takes three seconds to go through the animation but it's so much clearer and brighter. http://www.tokyoflash.com/en/watches/kisai/denshoku_black/

acer910
200 bucks for that though? and +plus+, ive been eying those freestyles more and more every time i head to the surf shop for wax or whatever. i might have to pick one up soon, its between one of those and a nixon. penmanship
to each his own. also 200 isn't much nowadays. I used to want a nixon as well, until i started working on the mountain and realized multiple problems a normal watch would bring.
KILZ FILLZ
The future is now. That watch is bananas.

I used to want a nixon as well, until i started working on the mountain and realized multiple problems a normal watch would bring. i know its not much, but 200 dollars instead of 15 dollars because you dont like pressing buttons, thats a little crazy. and i dont see how that watch would hold up in mountain conditions well at all, with a "regular" watch, you might scratch the face up a bit if you scrape it against a rock face. with that it looks like youd break off an entire light bar
watson
gay watch is gay
penmanship
no worries of scratching it or anything. I dig the watch. and it'll be shiny bright through goggles, snow and pitch black mountain topness.
acer910
il give it 3 months before you are either unhappy with it, or you have to replace it. no hate, but ive put my 15 dollar casio illuminator through countless gallons of salt water, hours of working on a car (watches arent meant to go inside an engine, seriously, your watch will never be dirtier) hundreds of hours in a machine shop, and a few scratches later, its held up better then the skin on my hands. penmanship
updates in three months then, right in the start of the season. I'm still getting used to having a watch after ten years of not, someone will ask the time and I'll say i don't know, then realize after a second, and them looking at my wrist, that I do in fact know. Pfffffffffft
it each their own is right .. but.. that watch is def NOT a snowboarding/sporty/all conditions rugged watch.. so dont try to pass it off like it is.. its more of the "wear it to the club or out on the town" type watch and when you arnt doing that, it sits on your dresser and chills in a nice case but hey.. kudos to you if you got money to blow like that
penmanship
The main feature I am stoked on it for is the clear and bright display of it which will be easy to read without taking off goggles and gloves. also I think it looks fucking rad. Perhaps I have bad taste though? not trying to pass it off as anything other than a watch that meets the criteria for what I needed.
Pfffffffffft
you should just carry a pocket size sundial
acer910
but seriously, my friend has a 40 dollar "ironman" watch that has a giant button right below the face for the light, you could press it and hold it down in oven mitts.
Pfffffffffft
basically what we are saying penmanship is we are highly upset about you using that watch when snowboarding and therefore are telling you that you arnt allowed to wear it
acer910
   pretty much, but hey, youl be the only snowboarder with that watch. thats for sure. so you get points for creativity.
penmanship
but.... ok fine :( I just read back through the thread and realized it's mostly about 15 dollar watches, and thought it'd be more about different or unique ones. oh well. In three months we'll know how good it is for my job, tonight however I'm headed a concert with my girl
