i saw this gem at a 7-11 tonight. it was the exact same car urkle drove except it had a real spedometer instead of a chalkboard to write how fast you think you are going.

Those things are deathtraps, which is strange since they were made by BMW.

 

I saw one up close, and thought, "You can put a roll cage in a Bug, or pull the gas tank of a Pinto out and replace it with a fuel cell...but the fact that there is almost no frame to speak of on that thing is insane."

 

You'd be better off on a motorcycle in a wreck. At least you might get thrown off...there's nowhere to go in an Isetta.

 

They do look interesting, though. Lots of weird design went into them.

Problem is, it's a tricycle. A very top-heavy tricycle, at that.

 

If you do get the chance to do this somehow, please film it. That would be something else...

 

And, yeah, Cash...as long as Urkel was there playing Taps, you can bury someone in an Isetta. But only if Urkel is there...otherwise, no deal..

I think that car was in a Depeche Mode video (best friend, fly on the windscreen?) but, in the first picture I thought it was this 3 wheeled Messcherschmidt thing I saw in Daytona once, VERY TIGHT!
