Richard Proenneke was definitely fucking grizzled. Building a log cabin by hand and living there for 30 years, fucking boss. I admire that dude, so much.

I'm gonna go ahead and say my Grandparents were pretty grizzled.

My pop was in the Navy and then spent his time wrestling crocs in the Northern Territory (Aus). There's a photo of him somewhere standing next to some 9ft croc on a boat. He had a heart attack and went to the pub afterwards to shake it off, and another time he had a stroke and sat down at the bus stop 'till it passed.

He used to cut off his own skin cancers, but in the end the cancer spread through his body and got too much.

RIP Walter.

My other Grandad was in Singapore fighting for the British army and was captured as a POW and worked on the Burma Railway, in specific the part which is known as Hellfire pass. He used to tell stories about how he had to get his water from the river filled with dead soldiers, eat rice that was mostly maggots and had an ulcer almost eat through his whole leg. He nearly died there but one Japanese doctor actually helped him which saved his life.

He returned to England and moved to Spain for a while where he built his own house but had to sell eventually, and later had a stroke but drank some scotch which seemed to fix him up. Continued working on the house, doing the gardening and driving into town until he was 97 and died simply of old age.

RIP Fred.

Cool story br0?

To me that's more grizzled then TV characters or any actors. Props to all the real grizzled motherfuckers posted in here though. Dudes are legends.
