Obvious
I think it's funny how some of you just look for people to put down while you cower behind that screen. Did someone punk you in high school so you come on here and vent your animosity? Give me a fucking break with your negativity. Didn't your mom tell you that if you didn't have anything good to say then shut the fuck up? You know you don't want to be heard and so you have to talk' date=' talk, talk while saying nothing at all. Just wasted space posted on a thread. The question is, what is so intense about graffiti that makes someone choose it over any and everything else? That is friends, family or girlfriends as a whole. It is really a simple question from someone that has never been around it at all. No one understands except those who do it. I wanted to know what it was behind that drive. I didn't know the intensity of the graffiti until I had already established a relationship with him. It takes a while to find out what a person is all about and that is when I began to see it came before anything else, not just me. I didn't ask him to give it up. Never one time. I was just not going to sit around waiting on him to show up at a promised time when I could be doing something else. You can take that needy, bored shit and shove it up your ass. If he wants to go do that, then just say it, I'll do something different. Don't say meet me here at -- time and fucking not show. That is just lacking integrity. Don't waste my time and I won't waste yours. It's a respect thing, get it? I know you sure as hell don't like it when someone disses your piece, well I don't like it when somebody wastes my fucking time. If you don't have time for a girlfriend then don't get one. Stay home and jack off for I give a damn. There are plenty of hoes, go get ya one. I'm not, he knew it, and still wanted to be with me. You can't have your cake and eat it too. You learn that when you are about five. I think that is where your mentality ceased to progress, so I had to spell it all out for you. I think I have gotten a pretty clear view of the kind of people that do graffiti. It's a shame that the assholes have to ruin it for everyone. So go out by yourself and paint, no one can stand to be around you anyway. You are a lonesme loser. You know who you are, if this gets you pissed off then that is who you are. Pissy little boys who have to go out under the cover of night because you don't have the balls to face the daylight.[/quote'] You sound bitter. And also, it is smart to go out at night than to go bomb in the daytime. Let's see you bomb in the daytime and then talk.
Gunm
My gf of six years hated seeing me go paint over spending an evening with her....I did it just to keep my own interests and pursuits alive as well as just having some time to myself. Simple as that
Smart
So, sometimes when I'm painting or drawing I will actually have to stop! and pick my nose... so, am I actually picking my nose over girlfriends? ...because that would be sad... I hope not.

Evangelion>Ogre
Actually, she said the guy was all about painting steel..Or maybe it's freights..Whatever, We're all a bunch of pricks anyway..that's what we get for being a bunch of losers who write on stuff. Anyway, if she's so hot, she'll have no shortage of suckers trying to get a piece. Let this be a lesson to all of us: If your girl starts acting the least bit crazy, she probably is. mauro149
That is the most perfect explanation' date=' I truly understand it now. Thanks for posting. We can end this thread since you were kind enough to explain it like a true man and not an inconsiderate asshole. What bothered me the most was he would promise to meet me at a certain time and then wouldn't follow through. Now I know why. So, it's okay and I am going to take this as the answer to my question. Thank you.[/quote'] perfect. i see youre not so stubborn. i had similar problems with my ex and after a couple of fights i told her these things, straight out. its not easy and it doesnt seem exactly polite to tell the girl you love that you prefer a bag of cans, a rusty train and the risk of getting arrested to her company without hesitation. she did her best to go along with it but in the end she felt neglected and sorry for herself. she was wrong because you cant compare art and adrenaline with women (better or worse may they be), although sometimes ones are fuel for the others. you shouldnt feel left out and shouldnt be offended. overall i believe that a girl, to be with a graff writer, needs necessarily have an equivalent interest or passion. and well if he bailed out on you 5 minutes before a rendez vous, the only way i can justify this is with the junkie metaphor. if a graff writer gets a call from a friend who tells him that a smooth boxcar is parked in their favourite layup there's a very slim chance he wont call telling you he cant make it. not all of us are assholes who have no respect for women. sometimes its just too strong and you cant draw back. tonysoprano
You wanted to go there' date=' so here it is: I am 5' 7" Long curly hair that I color a wild red, 36DD, size 6, tan, straight white teeth, perfect complexion, funny personality, considerate and patient, not a golddigger, and I am the hottest girl at our college (by popular opinion)...so there, it's not me asshole.[/quote'] fuck graffiti ''hottest girl at college'' that by default would make me cool and that is THE most important thing in the world

SeeingFingRed
OMG, I knew you guys had some sweetness deep down!:love4: Thank you Evangelion>Ogre, Iron_Lung, mauro149, tonysoprano, and iloveboxcars for your awesome posts and everyone else who wasn't being an asshole! klip, yours was straight up funny, I have to admit!:p Iron_Lung, no it wasn't just because of graffiti. It could have been anything. What the problem was being stood up, period. I just didn't appreciate being promised something and then not following through. He should have known that he wouldn't show up, therefore, don't say you will. It's as simple as that. I don't think you can blame me for that. I would have done something different, it was no big deal, but by saying we had plans I missed out on doing other things. I tried to take an interest in graffiti as much as I knew how at the time. I would read about it to try an understand it, look at his pics & mags with him, ask questions... I came on here even prior to the break-up. Why I started this thread was that I knew there was something that I was missing, something I didn't get, I knew that he liked me but he was torn for freights. So graffiti was just a symptom of the problem, again, it could have been anything. By coming on here, now I know the depth of it and he wasn't standing me up "just to go paint on trains". I understand now. Furthermore, I told him from the very beginning that I didn't want to come in last. It was good while it lasted so it's a shame it didn't work. I look at graffiti in a whole new light now so I am glad to have seen that world.

In the long run I guess it is for the best because I just couldn't handle being left hanging. I wish it weren't that way but it is and I'm glad to know early on before I got too deep. It wasn't the first and only time this had happened. I was so patient and I tried to understand and be considerate of his passion. He needs to be with someone that can willingly take a backseat to graffiti. Apparently I couldn't do that enough. But I am so glad to know that the will and drive was so strong that it couldn't be denied and it wasn't just blatantly "oh, fuck her" or whatever. I appreciate you guys clearing this up for me.

the-writer
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ YES! You have no idea how many times I've wanted to tell women this..It's so fucking lame to call your girl and have her tell you, "I'm just sitting in your apartment, waiting for you to get here." Bullshit. Get a fucking hobby, do something with yourself where you don't need me..so many women have no clue how great it is to know that you don't need a relationship to be happy, that being needy is such a huge turn-off..I once dated a woman who made clothes, played in a band, and painted canvases..I thought she was wifey status (until I found out she was bi-polar, that is)..My point being, if you really care a bout this guy, why even question his dedication to something he's so good at? Why do you look at it as him choosing graf over you, are you going to suddenly die while he's out, or is your desire to be with him going to fade just because he has something to do that doesn't involve you? These are all valid questions.. ha your girl chose us. while you were painting we were banging her.. TONY FLIP OVER!
