I think it's because the movie successfully shows everyone the "aesthetical" aspect of being a urban neo-nazi: strongly symbolic posters on your wall, having muscles but still reading books, having tattoos, being in a nazi crew with at least one really big fat nazi guy with tattoos. also camouflage shorts and playing basketball while listening to nazi punk rock.
