"sounds like a bunch of liberal bullshit."

hmmmmm... lets look at the objectives of this movie.

Primary Objectives

Stop the polarization of America

Stop the domination of the Democratic and Republican parties over our political system

Shut down the Federal Reserve system

Return America's gold to Fort Knox and have it audited

Have Congress and the IRS, in a public forum, reveal the law that requires Americans to pay a direct, unapportioned tax on their labor.

Make computerized voting illegal in all 50 states

Keep the internet free and out of the control of large institutions

Rescind the law called the Real ID Act so Americans never have to carry a National ID Card

Make it illegal to implant RFID chips in human beings

Educate juries to the fact that they have the right to determine the law as well as the facts of a case

Educate juries to the fact that they are not obligated to follow the instructions of a judge

Stop Globalization because it is the path to a one world government

Protect our borders

Restore the environment

Put an end to the Patriot Act

Sign up millions of Americans so we can accomplish our objectives

so in todays world, liberal bullshit is comprised of things the far right has championed since the classical liberals/anti statists turned conservative in response to the new deal? well, if a sound gold dollar, shutting down the FED, fighting income tax, protecting civil liberties and the constitution, and securing our borders is "liberal bullshit" then im the biggest liberal on this planet.

perhaps you should do a little studying on who exactly were the anti war, anti state, limited government crowd was prior to the neo conservative take over.

Why do we just vote. The goverment has gotten the way it has because people are not concerned with politics, so that has left a gap for the crooked and lobbyist to come in and corrupt the system.

i agree, it is more a problem with complacency in our society

due to the fact that we live pretty well here, veen for those in 'poverty'

AND our entertainment is top notch

if i could figure out a way to get people caring and off their asses (that had nothing to do with meth) i'd be all over it

"that's a good one. that word, 'liberal' has been turned into our fathers' 'ghey'"

its amazing how both liberal and conservative have changed meanings over time. consider the revolutionary generation were considered liberals. liberalism was essentially libertarianism today. around the early 1900's... enter socialism. socialism takes over the liberal tradition. conservatives before all this were essentially dudes trying to re-establish a limited monarchy in our country. then comes the new deal, the modern statist liberal socialist tradition emerges, and the "classical" liberals immediately became "conservative" trying to stop the move toward statism. so now you have real conservatives trying to 'conserve' the classical liberal tradition of the 1776 generation, and modern statist liberals striving for moves toward total central planning... its all rather weird.

i cant wait for this movie to come out.

net neutrality gets shut down in the house

the supreme court curbs whistleblower rights

rove cleared of all possible charges for the leak case

ethanol being pushed as renewable fuel source when in fact its just a move to reinforce our dependence on oil companies.

on and on...

i think consideration of our education system gives some insight into this apathy. a 30% drop out rate, who does that help? society? or the powers at be?

"ethanol being pushed as renewable fuel source when in fact its just a move to reinforce our dependence on oil companies."

i have two problems with ethanol and its not reliance on oil companies. i just cant figure out why the government can make corn likker but the citizen cant.

and since i have to work on cars all day, ethanol is a bad thing for me. it tears cars up. of course this was the E 85 tried back in the 80's, but... if they start trying to pump it alot again, it will be causing weird problems and leaks in cars. oh well.

i read some economist say that when its all said and done, at the present, it takes 10 barrels of oil to make 9 barrels of ethanol.

go figure.

"i think consideration of our education system..."

thats funny this came up. i just read this part of a new gary north article a couple minutes ago. about homeschooling...

"The future of tax-funded education can be seen in the schools of Washington, D.C., where legislators DO NOT send their children.

We are winning this one. "

on the ethanol thing. thats exactly right. the amount of energy used to refine it is just as bad as the use of regular petrol products. there are so many other alternative fuels that should be explored. grease cars for one. friend of mine at school has one. even made a documentary on it.

America isnt perfect by any means. but the fact that any american citizen can talk shit about the government and even talk shit directly to a politicians face and really not trip off being tortured and killed and if thrown in jail only for a short period of time. It shows that America isnt facist. Nazi germany America isnt. But america is in no way all that it claims to be...

I watched the trailer last night. It just reinforced a few things I've thought for a long time, unfortunately.

The truth has been hidden in plain sight. ALL of this stuff has been covered in the media, but instead of waiting for the movie to come out, I played it safe and followed the story as it was happening over the last six years.

Will anything change if people see this film? The cynical side of me thinks that the only way that people are going to get the message is if it's packaged in a two-hour sensationalist documentary with all the points spelled out in black and white. The hopeful side of me is glad that it was released in an election year. The practical side of me tells me that the people who need to see this movie the most are probably going to miss out.

i finally watched the whole thing all the way through. despite the fact that aaron russo is a money crank, the movie is hard hitting. he is about 75% right on hating the federal reserve. however, i still have a problem with his point that the FED is bad because it is not controlled by the federal government.

still, everyone should watch this. if only he could get it distributed to theaters nationwide.

Not to mention that it's 20% less efficient than gasoline. It's a stopgap measure at best, just something to do until a real solution is found and fully developed.
