oh man, you threw edwin black, chomsky and zinn in with icke. the former writers are respected because the analysis they provide is based on real, comprehensive and corroborated research of facts....like...they actually have large reputations for their research methods. the latter though....believes lizard people rule earth. and bill cooper.....believes ufo's live under our oceans and fly around at will. oh but wait, cooper found a manifesto from the secret gov't that just happened to be left in a thrift store printer.

fortunate son is a good book though. and on the periphery of that, sander hicks is also a guy i don't mind reading. but anyhow..

i would have to say that Icke does discredit himself a bit with his belief in shape shifting. and i think he really believes it, not just as a metaphor. he has written how he has personally seen it happen before. the reason i like ... And The Truth Shall Set You Free is because he deals with info like lord casek posted at the beginning of this thread; the lineage of the monarchies, people in positions of power, etc. he did write a decent book about 9/11 called Alice in Wonderland that i thought gave a lot of good information, but he does throw in his shape shifting beliefs in there and speaks in literal terms of how he must tell people about it even if they think he is crazy for doing so. the reason i look past the lizard people theory is because atleast he seems to passionately believe it. i dont, but i cant fault the guy for believing in something that i dont believe in.

and before he was killed by government agents Bill Cooper actually recanted his UFO claims and stated that he was duped himself. the biggest thing i took away from Cooper was in Behold A Pale Horse. he said something to the effect that even if you just discounted half of the information in his book, and if the other half is still true, then its still scary as shit.

they hired an academic as a consultant specifically for the purpose of planning a theme glorifying human acheivement. how is any this a big deal? and what would be the purpose in 'masonic' art? just to tantalize the conspiracy theorist?

not trying to contradict the 'they' stuff, because i'm enormously ignorant on the subject...

i did some reading on the guy actually. and here are some interesting qoutes

initially the plans for the main building were regarded as "wreckless"

to which the archiect rebutted ""The first consideration was utility. The problems of elevators, light and air and the other engineering questions which enter into the construction of any great project were the first to be solved.

After that came the work of making the exteriors as good as possible. A building today is built from the inside, not the outside. Genuine, vigorous beauty, the sort of beauty which is found in our skyscrapers, must go hand in hand with utility."

a very pragmatic approach to the construction. notice the correolation of beauty to utility.

"Rockefeller Center was originally intended to shelter a new Metropolitan Opera House. The opera's withdrawal from the project threw the project into disarray.

John D. Rockefeller Jr. recalled the moment bitterly. "Thus it came about that in the early part of 1930, with the depression underway and values falling rapidly, I found myself committed to a long land lease, wholly without the support of the enterprise which and around which the whole development had been planned."

Without the opera house, the project was becoming known as "the development that not even Rockefeller can build." But Rockefeller was soon to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. "

rather interesting. the solidification of rockefeller into city lore and national prominence. also a boon in the days of the depression... oh em gee.... some how this is all amazing...

all i know is icke isn't credible period. he's a crackhead. and cooper...i didn't know he 'duped himself'...maybe he duped himself about the other half of his book too. i'm sure there are tidbits of reality in his book, but there is so much conjecture in it that it's pretty funny to seriously use him as a source of factual information when trying to decipher the world. but whatever...that's just my opinion...i like reputable, credible authors where they actually give extensive footnotes and you can be somewhat comfortable knowing they aren't research hacks with doctorate's in the absurd.

good stuff iron_lung.

i used to be exclusive about hating republicans. until i started listening to alex jones

texe marrs, etc. (i do listen to jeff rense, but that's strictly entertainment. he's still a very intelligent guy, regardless of his beliefs and guests)

since i started listening to jones, i've felt compelled to research what he was saying.

he's kinda cool that way. i wanted to disprove him as a loon. i so wanted to.

too many people believe that if they are a republican, they vote rpeublican no matter who it is. or if they're a democrat, they vote democrat, not matter who it is. that's not how it works.

what i like about Alex Jones is that he uses the information that the elite put out there to inform; the books THEY write, the propaganda THEY produce, THEIR government documents.

as far as folks sticking to political parties, i just cant believe people havent figured it out yet. divide and conquer is a tactic as old as the stars. if people united the mass would be atleast twice the size it is now.

mostly i agree with you. i really dont read Icke's site anymore. i didnt mean to stick up for Icke or Cooper. id much rather have information by more credible sources as well. i think the talk of UFO's, reptillians, etc. muddies the waters and makes it look as though people who believe in conspiracy all wear tin hats.

some pertinent quotes ...

“The few who understand the system, will either be so interested in its profits, or so dependent on its favors that there will be no opposition from that class, while on the other hand, the great body of people, mentally incapable of comprehending the tremendous advantages...will bear its burden without complaint, and perhaps without suspecting that the system is inimical to their best interests.” — Rothschild Brothers of London communiqué to associates in New York June 25, 1863

BOHEMIAN GROVE

bohemian1017d.jpg

bohemian1017b.jpg

bohemian1017a.jpg

Bohemian Grove is "the greatest men's party on Earth", according to once-regular attendee Herbert Hoover. A secret little getaway for America's male upper crust, the 2-week long annual retreat in Monte Rio, California, has all the luxuries you'd expect of an elitist clique: outdoor plays, an orchestra, delicious food and beverages, public urination, streaking, and human sacrifices, to name a few. Nestled in beautiful redwood forests, every Republican president since Coolidge has partaken in the gala, as well as a host of other huge names in business and politics.

Little is known about its origins. The Bohemian Club was founded, according to its PR people, in 1872 by "five newspapermen, a Shakespearean actor, a vintner and a local merchant" from San Francisco. The male bonding funfest at the Grove itself began in 1879, near the Russian River. It wasn't long before this yearly custom became an annual tradition which has continued for over 120 years. Members enjoy opera, literature, and music. That's all. Nothing else to see here, no photos please, leave the premises now, THANK YOU.

GAY PORN STAR SERVES MOGULS

July 22, 2004 -- THE power-moguls and political heavyweights now luxuriating at ultra-exclusive retreat Bohemian Grove are unaware that they're being waited on hand-and-foot by a famous gay porn star.

We're told that "Chad Savage," who has appeared in such carnal classics as "How the West Was Hung," is supplementing his sex job by working as a valet at Bohemian Grove, the all-male annual gathering inside a 2,700-acre redwood forest in Monte Rio, Calif., that has been attended by every Republican president since Calvin Coolidge, as well as by industrial titans and media magnates.

"All of us valets in the Grove are tittering about it," says our Bohemian blabbermouth. "To think there's all these powerful conservative guys having their drinks and food served to them by a gay porn star. He makes their beds and attends to their every need — and they have no idea who he really is."

Bigwigs who have attended the two-week retreat include George H.W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Alan Greenspan, Walter Cronkite, Newt Gingrich, Alexander Haig, Jack Kemp, Henry Kissinger, Colin Powell, John Major, William F. Buckley, and former C.I.A. director William Casey.

Savage is at the Grove under his real name — which we wouldn't reveal to Grove spokesman Sam Singer, because we didn't want the valet to lose his job. But Singer said the club didn't care about his past. "All that matters is that the valets do good service," he said. "That's really all that matters."

Savage sure knows how to provide "service." When he starred in "How the West Was Hung" in 1999, one reviewer wrote that he wore a "beatific grin" while engaging in an orgy, and added that his "youthful enthusiasm is entirely winning."

When they're not listening to policy speeches, "Bohos" are known to urinate freely in the redwoods and perform mock-druidic rituals that revolve around a 40-foot-tall stone owl. In one ritual, called "Cremation of Care," members wearing red-hooded robes cremate a coffin effigy of "Dull Care" at the base of the owl altar.

While the club has claimed its share of accomplishments — Grovers privately boast that the Manhattan Project to develop the atom bomb was conceived on its grounds — its oddball activities aren't for everyone. Richard Nixon once famously described the gathering as "the most faggy goddamned thing you could ever imagine."

Inside Bohemian Grove

The Story People Magazine Won't Let You Read

When Dirk Mathison, San Francisco bureau chief for People magazine, infiltrated the exclusive Bohemian Grove retreat this summer, he got a view into the U.S. elite that very few reporters have glimpsed. Unfortunately, that elite includes the management of Time Warner, the owner of People, which prevented Mathison from telling his story.

Bohemian Grove, a secluded campground in California's Sonoma County, is the site of an annual two-week gathering of a highly select, all-male club, whose members have included every Republican president since Calvin Coolidge. Current participants include George Bush, Henry Kissinger, James Baker and David Rockefeller -- a virtual who's who of the most powerful men in business and government.

Few journalists have gotten into the Grove and been allowed to tell the tale (one exception is Philip Weiss, whose November 1989 Spy piece provides the most detailed inside account), and members maintain that the goings-on there are not newsworthy events, merely private fun. In fact, official business is conducted there: Policy speeches are regularly made by members and guests, and the club privately boasts that the Manhattan Project was conceived on its grounds.

Given the veil of secrecy that surrounds the Bohemian "encampment," a reporter needs to enter the grounds covertly in order to get a full portrait. Mathison entered the grounds three times July 1991, aided by activists from the Bohemian Grove Action Network.

He witnessed a speech -- "Smart Weapons" -- by former Navy Secretary John Lehman, who stated that the Pentagon estimates that 200,000 Iraqis were killed by the U.S. and its allies during the Gulf War. Other featured speakers included Defense Secretary Richard Cheney on "Major Defense Problems of the 21st Century", former Health, Education and Welfare Secretary Joseph Califano on "America's Health Revolution -- Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Pays", and former Attorney General Elliott Richardson on "Defining the New World Order".

Mathison's entree into the secret world of the Grove was cut short on July 20, however, when he was recognized by two of the participants in the festivities -- executives from Time Warner, People's publisher. More loyal to the Grove than to journalistic endeavor, they had the reporter removed from the premises (San Francisco Weekly, 8/7/91).

Mathison already had plenty of material, however, and turned in an article to his editors, which was scheduled to appear in the Aug. 5, 1991 issue. They were pleased with the piece, according to Mathison: "They liked it enough to expand it a bit," he told Extra!.

But then the story was suddenly killed. Landon Jones, managing editor of People, told Extra! that the decision had nothing to do with the Time Warner executives. "It was cut partially because he hadn't been there long enough to get a complete story. Secondly, we felt very uncertain about reporting what we did have, because, and this is my fault and I take responsibility for this, I simply didn't realize it was technically trespassing."

For his part, Mathison said he did not know why the story was killed, and implied it would be nearly impossible to find the real reason. "It's easier to penetrate the Bohemian Grove than the Time-Life Building," he told Extra!.

But the story raises questions about the ability of a media entity to report critically on an elite when its executives are enthusiastic members of that elite. Indeed, the Time organization was noted for sending a corporate plane to the Bohemian gathering every year, according to long-time Grove-watcher Kerry Richardson.

Time Warner is not the only media corporation with Bohemian connections. The list of Fourth Estate bigwigs who have been members or guests is extensive: Franklin Murphy, the former CEO of the Times Mirror corporation; William Randolph Hearst, Jr.; Jack Howard and Charles Scripps of the Scripps-Howard newspaper chain; Tom Johnson, president of CNN and former publisher of the Los Angeles Times.

When Associated Press president Louis Boccardi spoke at one of the Grove's "Lakeside Talks" about kidnapped reporter Terry Anderson (Spy, 11/89), he referred to his audience as men of "power and rank" and "gave them more details than he said he was willing to give his readers."

Walter Cronkite, now on the CBS board, hangs out at the same lodge at Bohemian Grove as George Bush and the former chairs of Procter & Gamble and Bank of America; Cronkite's voice has served as the voice of the Owl of Bohemia, a fixture in the club's mock-druidic rituals.

The media figures attending the retreat all agree not to report on what goes on inside. The prohibition seems to apply to reporters who are not guests or members as well: In 1982, NPR got a recording of Henry Kissinger's speech at the Grove -- but declined to air it (Spy, 11/89). Also in 1982, a Time reporter went undercover as a waiter in Bohemian Grove; like Mathison's People article, his story was killed.

Quote:

"We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years."

He went on to explain:

"It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national autodetermination practiced in past centuries."

-- David Rockefeller, Speaking at the June, 1991 Bilderberger meeting in Baden, Germany (a meeting also attended by then-Governor Bill Clinton and by Dan Quayle

The Common Good

by Sharon Thompson, AfD-Minnesota

Imagine a meeting to draw up a plan for the world. It may sound absurd, but it isn’t fiction. Every year an unofficial, secretive group of powerful U.S. and Western European corporate and government elites meet for discussion and consensus-building on their plan for the world. The meetings are called simply the “Bilder-berg” (named after the hotel in which the initial meeting was held).

Why were these meetings created? Who at-tends them? What is their plan and how is it being manifested around the world?

Following World War II, the elite of the victori-ous Allied powers determined that the basis of the post-war world economy would be a sys-tem of global corporate capitalism. This would require international cooperation of the ruling classes of the leading industrialized nations.

In response to this need the Bilderberg was formed in May, 1954. It has no formal mem-bership, but each year a mysterious “steering committee” devises a selected invitation list of approximately 100 names.

The Bilderberg mingles central bankers, defense experts, press barons, government min-isters, prime ministers, royalty, international financiers, and political leaders. (Guests this year from the U.S. included Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Richard Perle, banker David Rockefeller, as well as other members of the Rockefeller family, and Henry Kissinger.) The Bilderberg does not invite–or accept–Asians, Mid Easterners, Latin Americans or Africans.

Since the Bilderberg has no official status, it would appear to be just a harmless “discussion group” of politicians, academics, and business tycoons. But this quote by David Rockefeller at the June, 1991 Bilderberg meeting reveals otherwise. He thanks the media for maintaining their silence concerning their discussons.

“We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attend-ed our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop OUR PLAN FOR THE WORLD (emphasis added) if we had been subjected to the lights of public-ity during those years. But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards A WORLD GOVERNMENT (emphasis added). The SUPRANATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY OF AN INTELLECTUAL ELITE AND WORLD BANKERS (emphasis added) is surely prefer-able to the national auto determination practiced in past centuries.”

The Bush administration may be over-stepping its bounds in its grab for world domination, but it seems confident that the other elite will, albeit reluctantly, fall in line.

A world government ruled by an intellectual elite and world bankers is the essence of cor-porate globalization. Corporations are the de facto rulers of the world. They have usurped the power formerly held by national govern-ments and have created a virtual consensus that globalization, defined under their terms - what’s good for banking and big business is good for everybody else - is inevitable and for the greater good of humankind.

This simply is not true. The “common good” is sacrificed to the corporate demand for profit maximization to shareholders. Inequality within and between countries increases as do poverty, injustice, and violent conflict. The environment is degraded, communities are undermined, human rights are negated, human health and education are neglected, and democ-racy remains an unfulfilled dream.

But does it have to be this way? Can human-kind choose a better way? It has become (or should be) obvious that any system that permits the powerful to rule the masses through instilling fear and using force cannot promote the common good, be it national autodeter-mination, colonialism, monarchy, priesthood or the current system of corporate global-ization. Instead, a system must be devised based on responsibility to one another, the greater community of life, and future genera-tions as advocated in the Earth Charter (http://www.earthcharter.org). The legitimacy of our current system is crumbling, while a vibrant, truly democratic civil society is emerging worldwide. Therein lies our hope for some-thing better.

Excerpt from speech by Bill Moyers at the ‘Take Back America’ Con-ference, June 4, 2003 Washington, DC

“...You have to respect the conservatives for their successful strategy in gaining control of the national agenda. Their stated and open aim is to change how America is governed - to strip from government all its functions except those that reward their rich and privileged benefactors. They are quite candid about it...

Their leading strategist in Washington - Grover Norquist – has famously said he wants to shrink the government down to the size that it could be drowned in a bathtub. More recently, in com-menting on the fiscal crisis in the states and its affect on schools and poor people, Norquist said, “I hope one of them” – one of the states – “goes bankrupt.” So much for compassionate conservatism...

The White House pur-sues the same homicidal dream without saying so. Instead of shrinking down the government, they’re filling the bathtub with so much debt that it floods the house, water-logs the economy, and washes away services for decades that have lifted millions of Americans out of destitution and into the middle-class. And what happens once the public’s property has been flooded? Privatize it. Sell it at a discounted rate to the corporations.”

From page 243 (in 1991) German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt addresses the elite of the world at a lakeside talk. Helmut Schmidt, in his own autobiography, "Men and Powers, a Political Retrospective, says that he is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission and the Bilberberg group. He also says that he has been an active participant in bringing in world government. Mr. Schmidt also said in his book that leaders from globalist bodies travel to the Grove every summer. He talks about secret groves in Germany where they do druidic rituals, but indicates that Bohemian Grove is his favorite place to participate in these rituals

"...In july 1979, during one of these visits to California, George Shultz invited me to be his guest in Bohemian Grove during the traditional yearly summer encampment. This weekend gave me one of the most astounding experiences I ever had in the United States. Later I went to Bohemian Grove a second time and my impressions intensified. The landscape in which the encampment (the term used) takes place is uncommonly beautiful. The valley, a few meters wide and several kilometres long, is protected along both slopes and on the valley floor by venerable sequoias, some of them a thousand years old. Though the sky can be glimpsed through the loosely grouped treetops, the horizon is concealed. It was very quiet with a total absence of traffic noise..."

- Helmut Schmidt in his 1991 biography

somestimes when im bored i watch old Bundestag debates on PhoenixTV. its often very funny how the parties stomp eachother into the ground rhetorically. one man who always stands out with brilliant logic and rhetoric is Helmut Schmidt. in the 1970's his political decisions and viewpoints were pragmatic and held a good social/economical balance imho. unfortunately that changed dramatically in the 1980's. when you see him today in talkshows or documentaries hes always talking in some arrogant elitist manner incessantly smoking cigarettes, but still with the razorsharp arguments.

i'll hand it to the elite, they are geniuses. all of them.

sometimes, as we all know from art history and such,

genius is maddening.

hitler is a good example of genius gone terribly wrong.

hahaha how the fuck was hitler a genius? he was an art school dropout and from what i gather mein kampf isnt exactly in line to win the nobel prize for literature

Hitler was a master of propaganda, other than that, a psycho. thanks to him millions of people died in war and concentration camps, we lost half of our country and are branded forever.

read js mill for understanding of genius and its application to society. all those listed are genius. in their own right, regardless of intent. mill states that it is the intent and direction of action that men take that is the real determining factor towards a genius's impact on the progression of society.

thus genius can go wrong. people need not be good to be bright.

hey casek, i rewatched bohemian the other night and read the articles above you posted and dude, i'm still not catching your conviction some seriously diabolical shit is goin' down there. the whole ritual thing seemed pretty tame to me. the problem is when jones comes in and insinuates occult references are going on, then does a pretty shitty job of really explaining them. most of the time he just mentions it matter of factly. i dunno...i'll admit there's symbolism in the ritual, but it seems pretty timid to me.

there have been numerous reports of the bussing in of gay prostitutes.

one of them by a "leader fo the free world". ala richard milhouse nixon.

as for the bohemian grove, the mock sacrifice of a childlike figure should

be enough for you to figure this shit out. also, do some reading on who molech is.

you're a dumbshit and a neo con. whether you know it or not, you just keep

defending something that is insidious and evil.

and all because i question your beliefs. hmmm, come to think of it, the tactic you're pulling right now is very rightwing/bill o'reilly. have i called you names? nope.

i'm not defending anything, since nothing i've read, watched or seen from you or anyone else proves bohemian is a creepy place. where am i defending the real, provable policy choices these men have made? that's not the issue, but you can't seem to make the distinction to my specific questions about the grove. there's this implicit assumption that because power dwells there, and there happens to be a ritual(since when are rituals by default weird and creepy?), that crazy evil shit is happening there. gay prostitutes?! oh my....

What activities take place at the grove? The grove is the site of a two week retreat every July (as well as other smaller get-togethers throughout the year). At these retreats, the members commune with nature in a truly original way. They drink heavily from morning through the night, bask in their freedom to urinate on the redwoods, and perform pagan rituals (including the "Cremation of Care", in which the members wearing red-hooded robes, cremate a coffin effigy of "Dull Care" at the base of a 40 foot owl altar). Some (20%) engage in homosexual activity (but few of them support gay rights or AIDS research). They watch (and participate in) plays and comedy shows in which women are portrayed by male actors. Although women are not allowed in the Grove, members often leave at night to enjoy the company of the many prostitutes who come from around the world for this event. Is any of this hard to believe? Employees of the Grove have said that no verbal description can accurately portray the bizarre behavior of the Grove's inhabitants.

Besides this type of merriment. the annual gathering serves as an informational clearing house for the elite. The most powerful men in the country do their "networking" here, despite the Grove's motto "weaving spiders come not here" (don't do business in the Grove). At these gatherings men representing the government, military-industrial, and financial sectors meet and make major policy decisions. The Manhattan project, which produced the first atomic bombs, was conceived at the Grove in 1942. Other decisions made at the Grove include who our presidential candidates will be. There are speeches, known as "Lakeside Talks", wherein high-ranking officials disseminate information which is not available to the public-at-large.

What's not right about this? When powerful people work together, they become even more powerful. The Grove membership is wealthy, and becoming more so, while the middle class is steadily becoming poorer. This close-knit group determines whether prices rise or fall (by their control of the banking system, money supply, and markets), and they make money whichever way markets fluctuate. They determine what our rights are and which laws have effect, by appointing judges. They decide who our highest officials shall be by consensus among themselves, and then selling candidates to us via the media which they own. Important issues and facts are omitted from discussion in the press, or slanted to suit their goals, but they are discussed frankly at the Grove. Is there true democracy when so much power is concentrated in so few hands? Is there any real difference between the public and private sectors when cabinet members come from the boardrooms of large corporations? Is the spending of billions on weapons, which are by consensus no longer needed, really the will of the people? Or is it the will of General Electric, General Dynamics, and the other weapons contractors represented at the Grove?

all the skulls and bones, the statue of diana, the giant owl, etc etc etc indicate occult activity.

"In Germany, the Nazis first came for the Communists,

and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.

Then they came for the Jews,

and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for the trade unionists,

and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Catholics,

and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.

Then they came for me,

and by that time there was no one left-to speak for me."
