This new Scary Movie 4 that you're probably reffering to, along with Scary Movie 3, were written, produced, and directed by white people. So what you're seeing is pseudo-black comedy. Scary Movie 1 & 2 (the funniest ones) were written, produced, and directed by Keenan Ivory Wayans, and Shawn & Marlon Wayans. White execs bought the rights to the name, and ever since it has been watered down and whitened up. Same thing happened with "In Living Color" when Fox producers fired Keenan Ivory Wayans from his own show. Soon after, unsurpisingly, the show went off the air for being watered down and unfunny.
