fatalist
The museum of fine arts in Houston held three late night jams featuring the art of Basquiat. worth standing in line that had no end.
GamblersGrin
http://www.metmuseum.org/special/Van_Gogh/images/053MariesdelaMer.L.jpg ive seen this in person. the met had this van gogh drawings retrospective maybe 4 months ago, the 1st of its kind in america (and maybe ever but nott to suure about ever). it was nice to see the drawings and sketches juxtaposed with the finished painting. cixelsyd
wow this is one of my most favorite paintings by picasso... it may look ugly, but only if people understood the true story behind it. amazing.

cixelsyd
Do tell. well i have learned the woman is mourning the death of someone very close. The colors of her face suggest that the death has driven her to a point of illness. She is also gripping the tissue in her hand very tight, and the spoons represent a spoon full of tears, so on and so forth.
After School Special
I'm in art school. So the only paintings I know about are from the 1600-1800 period. And they all suck. Thanks!
cixelsyd
a lot of art sucks, but i think the part that is most appealing to me is the stories they all tell.
