Re: motorbikes!

to the homie bout to buy an enduro....bmw has a real nice new one out..i forget the name tho..

right now im crusin a kawasaki klr 650 but im waiting for a release of the new ducati motard......its too fresh!!!

I was thinking about the klr, but it's a bit big to start out with.

The BMW is the F650 GS and I've sat on one and it's nice,

but it's clear they didn't build a real enduro. Shit would DIE on the trails.

I think I've decided to go for the DR-Z 400 SM (or maybe not the supermoto version?)

Re: motorbikes!

^ you're thinking of the 1150GS or the 1200GS.... not the 650GS.

the dakar version is a little more rugged, but still.... a plastic bash plate? What's the use of that?

mamerro, I hear you that it's a little strange looking, but some guy in the area has one and it looks like a blast to ride.

Re: motorbikes!

I'm in LOVE!

so far I've only put like 25 miles on it but it's a really smooth ride up untill about 60mph

and 7000 rpm. Then it gets a little buzzy, but not really too bad. Certainly I'd want a basic

wind screen if I was taking a long tour with it. There's really no protection at all... but I like that.

I've been riding for 2 years now.. lucky to still be alive considering some of the dumb shit I've done!

I like the flat black, but be alert.. especially with how quiet that thing probably is.

I'm pretty sure the next bike I get will also be a Honda.

Re: motorbikes!

Glad you dig it mamerro. You've always had a very specifc taste when it comes to bike esthetics.

I still dont really believe that I have a bike. I've been thinking about them for years now.

And it pours down rain the day after I buy the bike.... but isn't that always the way?
