EarToTheGround
To be safe, bring it to them and have them tell you what's up. Then you'll have a better idea of if you just need to add a new card if that's even the problem, good luck.

Props when I'm not 24d. Hmm. Interested to find out what this could be. the power supply is dying and not getting much else done but running fans? *really has no idea wtf* ~hopesnothingirreversablehappenedoner
LUGR
This is the response from the provider, "The video card may have fried (literally) and the smell is escaping through the PSU as it vents out air. A shop run is definitely in the cards for that pc." Have to wait and see once I drop it off at the shop if that is actually the cause. abcs
ok. So i downloaded MacSpeech, Soundflower, and LineIn. Generally I download very fast but MacSpeech took forever (hours) finally complete I try to open it and its crashing my computer. This has never happened to me on a Mac until now. Perhaps someone knows what the deal is. After the download finished i was left with a 1.8 GB zip file and a smaller zip. I unarchived the zip and it became a 2.14 GB .toast file.... MacSpeech International Data.toast. Here is where i crash. First off. I never even heard of a toast file but its toasting my machine. Disk image Mounter is my default opening application and thats a fail. In my (open with) drop down menu (Disc Utility) is there as well as (other). So my question is. Do i need something special to open this .toast hookup or should i just trash this file. Shits irritating but i want the MacSpeech kinda bad and i dont have 200 to pay for it

Shits irritating but i want the MacSpeech kinda bad and i dont have 200 to pay for it Sorry it's so much trouble but it looks like we're still heading the right direction. Looks like you need yet another app called toast: http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5415596/Toast_Titanium_10.0.6 the .toast file is pretty much an .iso but only burnable with this toast business. So looks like you install toast then burn the .toast file with it then install it from the disc. *assumes* Let me know if you hit any more snags. Eventually i hope to use them to find a job and realize i will need to back them pieces of paper with respective skill sets. I researched these dumps and they seem kinda unreliable. My question here is which of them is reliable

TheGreatGatsby
I have a macbook that's roughly 3 years old. It is running slow as shit lately. If there are multiple GIFs on a page it lags etc etc. I don't have the money to get a new one and i need to get this beast working properly because I'm back in school. I have the 80 gb model and I think I have roughly 60 gb of crap on here. If I get an external hard drive to store stuff on will it speed my computer up? Will this be a pain in the ass to do? How do I access music files on it? can it be done wirelessly, or do I have to hook it up to my computer everytime I want a file? Do I need antivirus? What else can I do to get this thing working better? I don't even know which OS I have, is it worth updating? Is it worth buying ILIFE and saving a couple of bucks or should i just get Office? I have to read alot of Powerpoints and write papers, are there problems with conversion back and forth between Pages and Word or Powerpoint and Podium? Many thanks to anyone with help and or advice. madsencarl
methinks it's time for a new phone so i got my eyes on this one (htc desire): http://www.htc.com/au/product/desire/overview.html recently been released to australia but exclusive to telstra but the only plan you can get it free with is a $79 cap for 24 months and i'm not in the mood for being fucked in the ass by telstra for the next couple years my question is relating to buying it outright: i don't think it really matter if i buy it from telstra or an ulocked version since it's only under telstra's 3g network atm (or is that just some bullshit?) but how do i go about accessing all the cool features of the phone with a different sim (telstra or otherwise)? i doubt i can hit up facebook on the go with prepaid (if i do it would surely be hell exspensive), but if i get, say, a lower telstra plan would i be able to chuck in that sim and go about my biz? cheers if anyone reads this x /nh

T4M*
I installed a copy of W!nd0ws to a PC and activated it a different way, by taking away the 30 day period. Over a month, it did this.... Each time I click OK, it just logs me out and I keep getting the same "activate" message. How do I fix it?
