Guest Ginger Bread Man
Hey boats n hoes the way it is formatted now you have a 4gb file size limit. this may not matter much to you if you don't deal with large files however I suggest you format for extended journaled. Hitachi is a good mftr however I've had more than a couple dead drives. as with anything it all depends on use and treatment. I've deaded drives in 6mo but have had others for 4 years and still going strong. Maxtor has awesome transfer rates.

allfreetime
Hi there. I was having much fun using http://www.keepvid.com but recently it is not working. For a minute I think they wanted me to download a program. IDK. Looks shady. My question is what are "safe" Firefox plug ins to download Youtube videos? I can;t help but be super cautions after getting hit with that nonsense virus a few weeks ago. Here are a few (for your entertainment and so I remember) I want to download before they disappear from Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e304YyMzT1E http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UAI2gzf0mw

LUGR
I have a PC with a .dll file and one registry entry infected with trojan.vundo.h. I have tried to remove this using AVG, MBAM, Spybot SD and Avira with no results. I have been able to locate the file C:\\WINDOWS\system32\wajstzi.dll (used for ODBC 3.0 driver for Foxpro). If I run a scan on just that file it comes up clean, but when I run a full scan that file is marked as infected. Could this be a false positive? Anybody know what will happen if I shift+delete wajstzi.dll? Thanks
gasfacevictm
Which works better for a Mac, Peerguardian or Peerblock? Edit: I just read that peerblock is based on the same code as peerguardian, just debugged and there is no mac version. Shit.
LUGR
Ran superAntiSW and it could not be remove it. I tried to delete the registry entry and .dlls that are in the logs. All of them reappear or are not deletable. Anyway to get rid of this shit?
LUGR
I ended up reformatting. Anybody know of any drawbacks to using Logmein instead of PCAnywhere or VPN? Or are they basically the same? Thanks

autoteller
download the damn nfo viewer. it'll set it up so you can look at the nfo files in all sorts of pretty ascii (and yeah, 'damn nfo viewer' is the name of the program). aside from that, you should at least google this. this is probably one of the most common things that happens when people download games without knowing anything about computers and such. daemon toolz, etc.

Check the manufacturers website for updates. Bios being the number one to look for.

abcs
quick question. I'm reading a Microsoft Press book. Taking a server class and afterward probably the test. I plan to make flashcards. Was wondering if anything exists that will turn spoken word into text on screen? So from the couch when i encounter something i want as a note all i have to do is say it out loud and later when i'm done it's arranged as a text doc. I'm sure i've heard of some shit like this but i dont know how to frame the question so my browser will turn up good results. Freeware? Using an imac

LUGR
I turned on one of my PC's today and smelled a very faint burning smell around the back of the tower. I turned it off and opened it up, didn't see any smoke or areas that looked blackened so I dust-offed it and closed it up. It powers up, all the fans seem to be working but now it no longer sends a signal to the monitor? Tested it on a few different monitors and still no signal. Fried motherboard? Fried PSU? Could it be anything else? Thanks
