no

the ports on a netbook/notebook/laptop/tablet only have outgoing ports not incoming, meaning

you can only send the display image to a External monitor not vice versa

example

you have a notebook running win7 and a Desktop PC running XP you take the DVI or VGA plug from the back of the Desktop PC and plug it into the side port of the notebook ( the other end of the plug is in the back of the External monitor) You will now have win7 showing on the external.

taking away the display of the XP machine that was showing.

also look into asus brand netbooks

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220651

also netbooks are a waste in performance

what are you planing on using it for and do you plan to be traveling all the time? also do you have a wireless carrier that you are willing to pay $20-$30 a month to have wireless access through the 3g network. ( doing this is a hidden cost of netbooks thhhe $300-$400 you are going to pay is going to be the $1Grand you are going to be paying for it by the end of the year.

get yerself a notebook with performance and a decent sized screen at least 15.4 or larger

you will only pay $650 1 time fee

Information Technology and Management – Joke

by Hiroshi on 18-01-2008

A man in a hot air balloon realized he was lost. He reduced altitude and spotted a woman below. He descended a bit more and shouted,

"Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago but I don’t know where I am."

The woman below replied,

"You’re in a hot air balloon hovering approximately 30 feet above the ground.

You’re between 40 and 41 degrees north latitude and between 59 and 60 degrees west longitude."

"You must be in Information Technology," said the balloonist.

"I am," replied the woman, "how did you know?"

"Well," answered the balloonist,

"everything you told me is probably technically correct, but I’ve no idea what to make of your information and the fact is, I’m still lost. Frankly, you’ve not been much help at all. If anything, you’ve delayed my trip."

Woman below responded, "You must be in Management."

"I am," replied the balloonist, "but how did you know?"

"Well," said the woman,

"you don’t know where you are or where you’re going. You have risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise, which you’ve no idea how to keep, and you expect people beneath you to solve your problems. The fact is you are in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but now, somehow, it’s my fault."

yo i figured it out mostly.

1 thing that im a bit confused about tho

I have a supertype with 2 subtypes.

I have it all mapped out in my ER diagram

I have also chosen a subtype discriminator.

If you need a quick refresh... Supertype contains

pertinant info about an entity. Subtypes are categories

of the supertype that have additional attributes. An

entity is broken down like this to prevent a bunch of

null values in your tables.

So where im getting a bit stuck...

say i have the supertype DEFENDENT and its broken

down to the subtypes INMATE and PROBATIONER

my subtype identifier would be DEF_TYPE

How would i communicate to SQL that

each subtype contains specific details that do not

apply to both subtypes and command it to

list the shared attributes in the supertype?

Im looking for a command that says. show the

superype and 1 of the subtypes.

What i came up with is that each subtype needs

its own primary key and the supertype will

require foreign key references from each. My

main concern is that even though it is physically

3 tables it is logically still 1 table(1 table divided

to prevent nulls) Unfortunatly my reference material

does not reflect subtype primary keys. They all

reside under the supertype primary key.

I have other tables as well. Included among others Probation Agent

and Jail. Will i be connecting (supertype:defendent) to jail or

(subtype:inmate) to jail. Similarly will I connect (supertype defendent)

to probation agent or (subtype probationer) to probation agent

as far as i have gotten i haven't uncovered a SQL command

that refers to the subtype discriminatior.

Its pretty clear that i need to read ahead in this book. Im building

this database and I want it to be right. I dont really expect anybody

to read all this or even be able to help because i wasn't able

to clearly compose my question.

So would a Macbook be sufficient for CS4?

it will run. . i mean i'm running cs4 on a 4 year old Macbookpro(2.16ghz core duo 4gig ram)

if you get a macbook max out the ram to 4 gigs it will make a a big difference

but I would highly recommend saving an extra week or 2 and get the macbookpro its only 200 bucks more and is a wayyyy better machine you are going to get a a better screen faster processor bigger HD upgradable to much more ram a metal body instead of plastic more ports and sd card slot

get the pro you will be happy

Ill eventually get those tables then. Thanks.

I downloaded a movie, but it came in parts from 1-9.

They go movie.avi.001, movie.avi.002, etc.

if i take off the digits, it becomes a regular file (with the digits, it showsa blank file). how ever, it does not play.

is there a way to combine the parts into one and watch the movie? I think i have to use win rar no?

I have a PC that has had the BIOS settings restored to default. Since then it has started to crash randomly and I am given the message "Hardware monitor found an error enter setup menu for details". When I enter setup it looks like the cause is the CPU External Frequency is now not set correctly...

The PC is an Intel Pentium 4 3200 MHZ processor. Any help finding the proper CPU External Frequency would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
