Seffiks Posted August 12, 2007 Share Posted August 12, 2007 come on casek ( you gotta stop that smokin) unless you use a program like partition magic or partition commander, you can't install an earlier version of winblows on a harddrive with a later version already installed (it will allow you to install XP as a dual boot on a drive with W2k already installed, but not vice-versa) the two programs above allow you to do it by hiding the partition with XP on it from the W2k installer. Under the "Visual Effects" tab I Chose (checked) Use Drop Shadows for Icon Labels OR 1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel. 2. Click Performance and Maintenance, and then click System. 3. On the Advanced tab, click Settings under Performance. 4. Click to clear the Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop check box, click Apply, and then click OK two times. 5. T4M* Posted August 12, 2007 Share Posted August 12, 2007 I did the first one and it worked. I was Using ROXIO and it took away my background on my desktop so it messed up the icons as well. I restored the background but what ever color i had the desktop, the font's background would be the same color. I went to check the box "Use Drop Shadows For Icon Labesl" but it was all ready checked, so i took it off, hit apply, then i checked it back on, and it worked. Question* I was downloading movies and didnt realize that i was also downloading a porn with a fake name. I wanted to delete it, but it wont allow it. I rightclick, and it only says "play, properties, more info. I drag it to the trash bin, but it wont go there. It has a long ass name too, cant even rename it.
