possibly one time in 5 I hear it power for 30 seconds or so. Its an set as a slave (no OS on it) therefore the computer boots fine, and as far as I know Bios would not be affected.

At the moment I am using it via an external case plugged into the USB port. But like I said, when I plugged it in to the other computer (both via USB and IDE) the results where the same.

how do i get this to work

on this forum

<embed allowScriptAccess="never" src="http://www.evl.uic.edu/brian/mp3/GrowingPains.mp3" type="application/x-mplayer2" autostart="1" loop="0" height="50" width="280"></embed>

i think the >allowScriptAccess="never"< is why its not working... whatever you tried to paste it into changed the code and blocked it or something...

With the advanced features enabled, Google's free toolbar for explorer phones home with every page you surf,

and yes, it reads your cookie too. Their privacy policy confesses this, but that's only because Alexa lost a class-action lawsuit when their toolbar did the same thing, and their privacy policy failed to explain this. Worse yet, Google's toolbar updates to new versions quietly, and without asking. This means that if you have the toolbar installed, Google essentially has complete access to your hard disk every time you connect to Google (which is many times a day). Most software vendors, and even Microsoft, ask if you'd like an updated version. But not Google. Any software that updates automatically presents a massive security risk.

ok.. 2 things:

- i uninstalled IE about 2 years ago, but now i need it back fora couple reasons. i d/ol the ie installer from microsoft and it says i have a mor recent version already installed (i dont)... i do it through the control panel... get an ie icon that opens fire fox,, any advice?

-anyway to update windows w/ firefox (this isnt why i need ie)

ok you cannot get rid of IE on a windows machine unless you do some major registry editing sounds like you just really corrupted IE all i can think of right now is to update to IE 7.0 you can download this in firefox but............ you have to have a legal copy of windows xp

http://www.sendover.com/RD54-6H-U1VK here i uploaded my orginal of IE7.0 then you will beable to uninstall it and because its a beta version and it will overwrite the corrupted 6.0 after its done just download 6.0 again you should be all set

after that make firefox your default browser nothing else

World’s Smallest USB Drive?

small_drive.jpg

We’re not exactly sure how ATP Electronics managed to fit a 1GB USB drive (also available in 512MB as pictured above) into such a small package, but we aren’t complaining. It measures only 9.4 x 17.6 x 36.3 mm and weighs just 8g. Available in gold or silver colors, the Petito is set to launch in April.

“Do not be mislead by its size, though, because at up to 30MB/s transfer rate and 1GB, Petito will exceed your expectations with its performances in terms of speed and capacity.

Toronto is set to join a small but growing club of North American cities that will offer municipal wireless Internet access. Toronto Hydro, the nation's largest electrical utility, bought Toronto's street-light system for $60-million last year, and it is expected to place wireless transmitters and receivers on top every fourth or fifth lamppost, blanketing the city in one huge network.

triplehead2go_01.jpg

Imagine having three 19″ LCD monitors, connected together side-by-side, and forming a 3840×1024 monstrous screen. Woah! The ultimate in desktop computing! And thanks to Matrox’s TripleHead2Go, successor of the DualHead2Go, there’s no longer a need to get three more graphics cards just to pull this off. Furthermore, we know that before TripleHead2Go, this is simply impossible on a notebook.

All TripleHead2Go needs is a single display output, and it can connect up to three displays, capable of up to a combined resolution of 3840×1024 (45″ diagonal). When used with a notebook, even the notebook’s display itself will still be available for usage, giving you a grand total of four screens! This is really great for increasing productivity.

Gaming would be awesome as well on the supported 3D games. At launch, TripleHead2Go will support more than 150 popular games such as Quake 4, Age of Empire III and Brother’s in Arms. Gaming resolutions supported are 3840×1024, 3072×768 and 2400×600 and 1920×480. But I’m sure you gonna need a fairly high-end graphics card for playing at higher resolutions.

The TripleHead2Go will be available this April, at a price of $299. I say if you could afford three 19-inchers, you would have no problem forking out that money for the ultimate pleasure in desktop computing!
