Re: «<< 12Oz Computer Tech Support >>>

actually, the $20 sale ended last night at midnight, they are 32 (with tax) now.

compusa brand. but i figured 100 dvd's for that price is unbeatable. they're regularly 60-something.

(downside 2, they are dvd+, i'll live)

anyhow, i got the internal dvd dual layer for $65 with a $20 mail in rebate. so, $45.

good stuff. and these things are torx screw, not rivets. i sent someone to get me a torx 9

if i get impatient, i'm pulling out the power drill, though.

pain in the ass. working for family on the weekend. knowing about computers has so many downsides.

Re: «<< 12Oz Computer Tech Support >>>

i drilled the rivets in the compaq computer.

fucking shite. didn't have to. turns out

tou have to remove the faceplactes and then slide

out the disc drives, then pull the power supply.

i gave them a brand new raidmax 380 watt power supply.

compaq had a 280 in there. teh sucx0r.

anyhow, got the dvd burner in. relatives happy. mission accomplished.

any of you people foolish enough to buy a compaq....

meh.
