-appetizer: slow cooked pork spare ribs in pineaple sauce, roasted asparagus with garlic butter & olive oil, and chestnuts in wrapped bacon. yum

 

-dinner: roasted garlic mashed potatoes with sweet seseme seed & pineapple teriyaki steak (ovened) drizzled with my own guava ginger creme sauce and topped with crispy chinese noodles.

 

-and dessert! : chocolate souffle with chocolate dipped strawberries.

What is that? I've never seen frijoles done like that before.

 

They look gnarly, but I'll bet they're good. I add carmelized onions and a little heavy cream to my refried black beans...good stuff.

 

Even though it's after the fact (BTW, good job, LENS...and disregarding the fact that I probably haven't eaten meat since the mid 90's), I'd go with potatoes (baked russets or boiled reds) and a mixed green salad with a balsamic vinegar/olive oil dressing.

 

And, definitely a white wine, maybe a Gewurztraminer. I do recall this going well with seafood.
