Steve tell me about it. i feel like a broken record telling my story. but when i got pregnant i got toxemia which raised my blood pressure alot. im talkin about like 120/170. it was fucking crazy. And although its not as bad anymore i still am "supposed" to take meds. which i dont because i dont have insurance at the moment but my shit is still high. HBP runs in my family. My mom is very thin, but she still has it, so it's not nessesarily a weight issue.

Anyway -- do you smoke? quit that shit. Salty foods too. Eat stuff like oatmeal in the morning. i think garlic pills are supposed to be really good too..

Remove all bleached and processed flours and grains from your diet.

No more white bread, white rice, anything with white flours.

Eat small portions of wheat breads, brown rice, etc.

Lean meats.

Stay away from red meats often because they contain higher levels of fats.

Chicken is your best friend.

No transitive fats, they're the devil in a diet.

Cut calories to a healthy level.

Keep carbs clean, and early in the day.

Fruits are good snacks but dont OD, they contain sugars that can be stored if you havent had a decent intensive work out.

Fats in the form of triglycerides are ok. (theyre quick digesting and dont really store.)

Shift your meals toward the end of the day to more protein based (casein protein).

Thats basically what I follow and weight train 5 days a week, cardio 7 days a week.

If you cut your calories low enough (1500-1650) and be really strict on fats and keep carbs clean you can stand to lose 10lbs a week.

If at anytime you feel like youre catching a cold, you're not eating properly. You need to eat more.

Its basically based off your body's own metabolics. You gotta find how many calories are best for your needs, etc.

Also I highly suggest breaking your meals into 6 smaller meals a day. Reducing cravings and keeps your metabolism working at a constant HIGHER rate.

not healthy at all but i make them sometimes for like super bowl or a random appetizer dish and people mob on them.

INGREDIENTS:

2 (8 ounce) cans water chestnuts

1 bottle barbecue sauce (of your choice, i like sweet baby rays)

1 pound bacon

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Remove water chestnuts from refrigerator and drain well. Cut bacon strips in half so that strips are about 3 inches long. Wrap each chestnut with bacon and secure bacon closed with a toothpick. Arrange all wrapped chestnuts on a baking sheet.

Place in oven for 7 until bacon is crispy. Remove from oven and cover each one individually with barbecue sauce.

place back in over for about 5-10 minutes or until hot and crispy.

ENJOY
