I never thought I'd actually endorse this, but Cy Twombli... some of his massive canvas work is pretty impressive. I can't stand some of the other shit he made though.

as far as using people to get inspired for graffiti you guys are totally forgetting to check up on the classics.

check up on ancient chrsitian texts and ancient islamic calligraphy/ architecture. if you want to get inspired look at the fucking classics. if you cant make a decent figure drawing than dont bother trying to make anything "abstract". people who claim that they are artists andcant master the classics are fucking clowns.
