yeah...that spa/pampering shit is the way to go. seems like most moms don't get that treatment or enough of it. you can go with her and make it one of those teary eyed bonding moments as well.

the spa idea is a good one. I did that for my moms birthday.

If you have drawing skills just draw her a picture of something meaningfull to her. Then spend the rest of the money on a nice frame.

If you can't draw, pay one of your friends to draw it and get a shitty frame.

Otherwise, go with the spa.

soaps and other bathroom accessories.

get loads of small cheap ones and put them in a box.

wrap the box.

the result = something which looks like you spent a lot of time / effort / money on.

its been done before, by my dad, and it wasnt too appreciated.

I came up with an idea for 1/2 the present, and its pretty lame..... A DVD of "A Breakfast at Tiffany's" - which is one of her favorite movies, but still doesnt have that special "hand picked" touch to it.

more ideas! more!!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

with you?

update: i SCOURED the city for "Breakfast at Tiffany's" but NO ONE had it. while i was talking to a worker at HMV, a man sauntered over and pulls out the box set, and i point to it and go "CHAAA"... to which he replies *in a british accent, "this is the last one, it's mine" and walks away. FUCKER

so i have settled for a Marilyn movie, Some like it Hot ... and maybe My Fair Lady or Waiting for Darkness
