26SidedCube
I find maaad random albums on soulseek. One of my boys had a band that sold maybe a hundred CDs some nine years ago and I've found their shit on there... and he's currently wandering the streets of CA looking for heroin so I know he's not the one sharing it. RumPuncher
simple answer... slsk... but not for searching, unless you donate. ^ slsk user know what I mean. the best bet is to find someone fast, with taste, and grab all their recomendations. I think half of my 'blind downloads' have coem from slsk referals.

I.C.Shadow
I use torrents even though you can find more music on p2p servers. I HATE having to rename everything and find track information for every song. Anyone have any good tricks to get around this?

Guest Sparoism
Hey Mr. 24KEY 3 Punch- Any other filehosting ideas? yousendit.com has a 20mb limit for unlimited DLs....that's not gonna cut it. And, how did running your mixer into the comp work out? All my equipment is in the studio (comp, monitors, decks, CD mixer, and main mixer) and I was wondering if you had any issues/tips to share. (sorry about the threadjack)

Drives me nuts....arrrrrr. Try narrowing your search parameters (for example, don't type in "metal" or it will take a million years to show you all available files with the word "metal" in them) and check your ports and firewall/virus protection to see if slsk is permitted to transfer to you. And, how did running your mixer into the comp work out? All my equipment is in the studio (comp, monitors, decks, CD mixer, and main mixer) and I was wondering if you had any issues/tips to share. (sorry about the threadjack) Quoted post that's the one problem with yousendit, but you can do larger files but with a limited number of downloads. Figure if 20 people grab the mix, if someone requests it after the link is dead, then there's enough people to share it then. It's worked likethat in the past. for the mixer into the conputer... I'm using Traktor to mix tunes, with a decent sound card. Set the sound card to 4 speaker output, then traktor's output to front - program / rear - cue. Then just flip the mixer on traktor to one side, and cue the otehr side. Now you have two distinct outputs. Pop those into two channels of the mixer, and you've skipped the software faders and eq (unless you want them). My only problem now is that this cheapo mixer doesn't have a cue/pgm level, so I can't hear the pgm while mixing in the cue. Not so big, because I could just plug the headphones into the 'rear' speaker output, and use the software cue like it's supposed to be. whoa... SCRAWBURRY
I use soulseek because it's the best place to get full albums....I've got over 14,000 tracks on three computers, the comp I got hooked up right now has abouy 5000 tracks on it... Limewire is good for single songs but if you want the full albums soulseek is the place for that. :king:

FunTimePartyTeam
I got soulseek for the first time about a month and a half ago. Since then, while at work (casually), Ive downloaded around a hundred albums. Id endorse it.
