Two days ago I read the Dondi White book again, put it down and went to sleep and haven't looked at it since then. Yesterday I got the idea to do a sketch trying to mimick some of Dondi's styles. Kind of a memory test. Made me notice just how many of the "doo dads" I've been using since I was 10 years old or so were present and really clearly defined in Dondi's pieces from that era and before. Yeah I saw subway art so there is a direct source but elements of his Style were everywhere when I was young. Anyway here's my poor attempt.
